Here's a taste...

FURY'S POV

I’m not much of a talker, and this conversation has gone on long enough. I hold out my hand again. “Pass your keys.”

“I’m fine. I can drive myself home.”

“No, I told your mother I’d get you home.”

“Honestly, I’m—”

She has no intention of giving me the keys, so I lean across her and grab them out of the ignition myself. Not one of my best ideas. It put us too fucking close.

Ignoring her protests, I exit the car and walk around to her side. Opening the door, I lift my chin at her. “Out. I’m driving.”

“How do you intend to get home?” she asks once she’s out of the car.

“I’ll walk.”

After one last long look at me, she walks around the car and gets in the other side. As we strap our seat belts in, she says, “I just added another tick in the ‘not an asshole’ column.”

I start the car and reverse it. “This is for your mother. I owe her.”

“Oh, so the debt is repaid now, is it?”

With my hand firmly on the gearstick, rather than on her leg where I’d prefer it, I nod. “You could say that.”

She faces me, placing one leg up on her seat and crossing it under her other leg. I glance sideways as she moves and catch an eyeful of cleavage. Gripping the gearstick harder, I face the road again.

“You can tell me all you like that this is for my mum, but I’m still adding that tick.” She reaches out and places her hand on my chest as she adds, “There’s something in here. I’m sure of it.”

Jesus fuck.

Her touch is electric. It fucking lights me up with desire in a way I can’t recall ever experiencing. I have to lay the fucking law down with her.

Pulling the car to the side of the road, I find her eyes and say with some force, “Don’t mistake shit for something it’s not. There is something in here”—I jab my chest—“but I can assure you it’s blacker than you can ever imagine.”

The tension sitting between us swallows her words and the car is filled with silence. It’s a noisy fucking silence, though, and with what I’m beginning to know about Zara, it won’t last long. “I don’t think I’m mistaking anything, Fury,” she says slowly. “Your heart might be black, but I’ve seen the patches of red. And I’ve also seen the way you look at me. You can’t deny you’re interested.”

“I look at you the way any man would look at you unless he’s gay or blind. As far as being interested, I’m interested in a lot of fucking things, the least of which is touching something that’ll put me in hell.”

I'm honestly so conflicted over this book. And mad. So I apologize in advance for any nonsensical rants I'm about to go off on.

So this book is split into two parts, you have Part 1 with Zara 18 years old, and Fury 25 years old. He's part of the MC, she's the president's daughter. Aka, hella forbidden, aka I was intrigued. And that part was intriguing and so enjoyable. Zara was handling something that no 18 year old woman, or any woman actually, should have to deal with. And I felt for her so much in that first half. She had me tearing up on more than one occasion and her pain was so raw and real that I couldn't not connect to her.

And Fury was amazing with her. He was gruff and a little short with most people, including Zara. But she broke down his walls and when we got to see the other side to him I fell in love fast and hard. I loved seeing their friendship and how they were starting to grow together...and then it ended.

It felt like one second everything was finally moving in the right direction and then bam some stuff happened and Part 2 is opening up four years later. 4 years! I felt blindsided that it would end there before starting up so long after. I'm already not a big fan of books that get split into more than one part and include a time jump and in this book it really wasn't something I could appreciate. I feel like splitting the book into two parts really did Zara a disservice. She was healing some and getting to a healthy place and then it's years later and we missed so much from that process.

And this is where I got mad. I felt like we were finally getting somewhere with Fury and Zara and then all of that progress was ripped away and replaced by MC business, drama, and just so much other stuff going on in the next half. So much was happening in such a short time in that last 40-50% and honestly there was next to no romance involved and it all seemed a little messy. I just didn't understand why it had to jump to years later and then move on from the characters to the MC and take away all of the romance that I had been loving in the beginning. After investing so much time in Fury and Zara I really felt like putting that time jump in ruined them. At least for me it did.

The second half completely lost me, not only because I was upset it ripped me away from the characters I was loving, but also it just didn't read well for me. With so much happening around the MC it was like that became the main focus and everything else was just thrown in, and not everything seemed resolved by the end. The thing with Lynette didn't leave me feeling like I got a good ending to the storyline she was involved in, Zara's four years away we learned next to nothing about, and what we did hear about was briefly mentioned and then never brought up again.

Maybe I couldn't appreciate everything that was going on in the ending because I was mad about the time jump. Either way, for me, that ending ruined the book and my enjoyment of it. It also confused me about how this book can be labeled a standalone because it definitely isn't since the MC stuff will continue onto the next book, which apparently goes back to the first books couple. Well what I'm calling the first book, Hurricane Hearts. Bottom line, I will still recommend reading this book if you're a fan of MC books or already a fan of the Storm MC series. I'm a fan of this author and will read more from her, but I think it's going to take me some time to get over what happened with these characters.

ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review.

War of Hearts was the second book in the Storm MC Reloaded series by Nina Levine. The series was set in Australia.

The first book in the series, Hurricane Hearts, didn’t have much to do with the MC, so it had been awhile since I had read much Storm MC and I didn’t remember the players (other than King - and I couldn’t remember the details from his trilogy). It felt like I was reading the MC for the first time. And the conflict that was brewing, I was confused and couldn’t relate. But it was interesting with a suspenseful vibe and I kept at it hoping the conclusion would come full circle.

Levine told War of Hearts in two parts. And man was the name perfect. It definitely was a war of hearts. And it was emotional.

Part one set the tone for the current state of both Fury and Zara’s minds and how their past experiences had shaped them to who they were in the present. It also included the turbulent climate of the MC and the conflicts that were shaping the future of the MC. And wow, a twist I didn’t see coming. No spoilers, so no elaboration, but wow.

Part two jumped in time. It took me a bit to follow along but filled in some gaps within Fury and Zara’s lives. Again, no spoilers so no details. Levine also focused on the Melbourne conflict and meshed it with Fury and Zara’s story. While focusing on Fury and Zara, it set the stage for the final book in the series, Battle Hearts.

All in all, it was intriguing, suspenseful and emotional. The plot was confusing at times so I feel I missed a lot of details, but it was still entertaining and enjoyable. I can’t wait until the conclusion of the series to see how everything plays out. Battle Hearts appears to be aptly named, so bring it on!

2 Action-packed Stars!

Spoilers!!
I have been waiting for this book for almost a year, and normally it doesn't bother me when authors take awhile longer to release, but I do expect the book to be fantastic. Sadly, this book didn't live up to my expectations, which sucks because I have been so excited to read it, and I love Nina's books, so it saddens me more to write this review.

I have read all of Nina's MC books, and unfortunately, this is probably one of my least favorite books, and couples, of hers. I did like Zara more than I thought I would based off of Kings books, but Fury kind of ruined it for me. I didn't like him AT ALL. What he did wasn't really bad compared to other books I read, but my stomach was in knots pretty much the whole time until the end, with how much I disliked him.

First, they start having strong feelings for each other, which moved WAY too fast, then he finally claims Zara as his, like halfway into the book, so we finally think we are getting somewhere, but nope, he finds out he got a club whore pregnant. He tells Zara they can't be together because he wants to try to be a family with said club whore. I understand WHY he did this, but it doesn't really justify it, especially to Zara. And he didn't like Lynette at all, and I'm supposed to believe they lasted almost 4 years together? I hated him more especially because of all that Zara has been through, and he goes and pulls this crap on her, I really felt for her, and how liked how adult she acted, but she acted maybe a little TOO well for me.

Fast forward 4 years, Zara moves back, Fury and his baby mama have been seperated for only like 6 months, and he's off having sex with other women. This whole part bothered me. How can you want someone as much as he wanted Zara, that you finally want a relationship, but so quick to get back with another woman and have sex with her, and then other women right after the 4 year relationship, all while still thinking of Zara the whole time? Ya no. But then he is so quick to want to get back together with Zara when she moves back, and she accepts him right away, without even really having a full conversation with each other. That bothered me too. I would NOT have done that, especially with how quick he broke it off the first time. I probably would have been better with it, had she been in any meaningful relationships with other men during that time. I officially hated their relationship at this point.

After all of this, they're back together of course, and it is mostly club action, which is another thing I have a problem with. Everything is SO CONFUSING! I have literally no clue what is going on with what with the club buisness. There is no reminding us of who is who in previous books, and I was constantly going back to see if they had appeared before, especially the rivals, whose names were even more confusing. So pretty much, I just wanted to skip all the club buisness.

And lastly, everything moved TOO fast! From the rape, to the PTSD, to their feelings, the break up, the recovery from the rape, to getting back together, and the club buisness. We never had any time to actually breathe before more problems arose. There was just too much going on in this book, and I couldn't keep up with any of it. Overall, this isn't Nina's greatest book, and I will probably be confused in the next book too, because I had no idea what happened in this one, but I'm still going to read Nina's future works, especially being so invested now, and hopefully future ones will be better.

She knows better than to think we’ve got something going on just because we’ve screwed a few times. All the club whores do.

Anya might be a good lay, but I’m not in the habit of spending the night with anyone.

“I’m not a bad person, am I, Hols?” “Fuck, Zar, what’s happened?” I ignore her question. “I would have kept the baby if I could.” I will not cry.

King doesn’t know all the events of that night or about my abortion, and I don’t want him to know.

I need to get laid. And fucking soon. If I have any hope of surviving Zara, I need to find a club whore to help me move my dick the fuck on from her, because after the last two nights, she’s been on constant replay in my head.

If I know one thing in this life, it’s that if I ever have a child, it will know and be loved by both parents. I’ll make damn sure of that.”

Oh God. This is why he’s looking at me the way he is. “You’re going to raise your child with Lynette.” The apology in his expression intensifies as he says the words I don’t want to hear. “Yes.”

You’re beautiful even when you’re throwing up on me.

“Do you ever get triggered?” “Sometimes, but it’s usually only the first couple of times with a guy.”

"I'm not sure what's harder at this point: dealing with her attitude or keeping my eyes off her."

Nina Levine broke my heart in this forbidden romance. She dangled this amazing couple in front of me like a delicious treat and then told me they couldn't be together. What the WHAT? Of course, he would finally find 'the one' and she would be off-limits, right? Tell that to their hearts...

Not only is she the daughter of his president, but she's also broken. Being forced to watch and protect her but not touch her is torture for him. Being unable to take away her pain is painful. Recognizing his feelings being reflected back at him in her eyes is the stuff nightmares are made of. To see everything he wants but can't have on a daily basis is a test of his love and loyalty. How long will he be able to resist?

It goes without saying that this new installment in the Storm Reloaded series has plenty of danger and suspense thrown in to keep readers riding on the edge. The club is facing a war and lives and hearts are at stake. There's no guarantees who will be left standing when it's over, but I wouldn't want to miss a second of the battle. The line forms here...

I have been very patient I’d just like to point out, waiting for this book, mind you what else could a reader do? 😆 Boy did my patience pay off with this fantastic story.

Fury, or Ryan Hayes as he was christened, and Zara King, stepdaughter of King, the president of the Sydney Storm MC, have always felt an attraction to each other. Not acting on this attraction is one of the hardest things they’ve ever done.

I love the way this author lulls you into the story then bam, things change so quickly! The action and drama in the story is intense when it peaks and you find your heart rate racing and hoping and praying everything turns out well, it’s fiction but that’s how powerful this story is. Likewise, the passion as well as the romance is balanced well with it being as hot as hades yet sweet too.

Told from both Fury and Zara’s points of view we get a deeper understanding of each lead character. I liked both characters in the book so much and together they are phenomenal. It is fabulous revisiting with King, Lily and the rest of their immediate family and the Storm Family too. It felt like coming home to old friends.

The next book sounds just as exciting and I’m already looking forward to reading it! Perfect title for this story, great characters, heaps of action and excitement and suspense.

War of Hearts has all the markers for things I enjoy: MC romance, forbidden love, an alpha man you can’t help but be attracted to and dangerous drama. The story starts when Zara is 18 and is the MC’s president’s step-daughter and Fury is tasked to keep an eye on her when her life is threatened . You can tell that there’s chemistry between these two, but he wasn’t allowed to do anything about because, hello, she’s the president’s daughter which means: OFF LIMITS. We get both Zara and Fury’s POV as they interact and develop a friendship in the beginning. As the story progresses, we discover that Zara is going through a tough time as she deals with some events that have happened to her. Nina Levine does a wonderful job writing this storyline as it was probably my favorite of part of reading Zara’s story because it made me fall in love with her as she is trying to sort her shit out and also with Fury, for how he deals with all of it as well. I’ll definitely be on the look out for more of these books to come!

Fury and Zara ... Absolutely exceptional

WOW!!! I am literally at a loss for words. WOW!!! WAR OF HEARTS was absolutely EPIC!!! It is obvious that Nina Levine has put everything into the story of Zara King and Ryan "Fury" Hayes, and she has once again done it with class. Their story was so worth the wait. It was emotionally draining, heartbreaking, intense, sensual, dramatic and very violent. Nina's writing was beyond brilliant, it will pull you into her story and her characters into your heart.

He looks at me with the kind of raw hunger I've never seen in a man's eyes. It's carnal, and it matches every wild desire I have for him.

Zara King. Daughter of Lily and King .. I say no more! Zara is struggling with an event that has altered her life, but her strength is amazing. This woman is strong, opinionated, sassy, feisty. She is also lost, confused and an emotional mess. Ryan "Fury" Hayes. He is ALL man!! He is a smooth, dirty talking, alpha male who has his sights set on the wrong girl ... his president's daughter ... and he's already been warned ... DO NOT TOUCH!!!

"Your heart might be black, but I've seen patches of red. And I've also seen the way you look at me. You can't deny you're interested."

"I might want to put my hands and mouth on you, but I can't. That can never happen between us. Not while your father is my president."

Such is the dilemma that Zara and Fury face. Do they go with their heart or do they allow their heads to rule? I enjoyed watching the development of their friendship, the way they were at ease with each other. Their banter, especially when texting, could be quite amusing at times. Fury's love of her cake baking and her a$$ was just perfect.

"Princess, you don't just make a f##king cake, you f##king boss it. You put every other cake maker out there to shame."

"I'm gonna cut you some cake. If you feel the need to get your fill of my a$$, go for it. After that, we're gonna find a new show to watch. And then I'm gonna fall asleep on you."

Just when you think everything is going to be fine and run smoothly Nina has to come along and ruin it all ... she just cannot help herself. However it does allow for Zara to grow and work on healing herself. But really Nina, I think you could have done it differently ... just saying.

One aspect that I really enjoyed about this story was the way in which Nina portrayed the relationship between Fury and King. They are so alike at times that it's truly scary. King is like a father to Fury, the one he never had when growing up, and when King believes that Fury has betrayed his trust he's hurt, but his anger takes over. The dynamic between these two men was really something to be seen.

As with all Storm MC novels, the club plays a vital role in this story. Nothing is ever easy for the Storm and it looks like things have just gotten a lot worse. Nina has written quite a few violent scenes in this one, but they are appropriate for the storyline. This is where she shines with her action and her drama for the Storm.

From beginning to end this story was simply superb. I cannot count how many times I yelled, threatened to punch a character, cried tears of sorrow and joy, was completely wordless or just sighed out of utter contentment. That is what Nina's writing did to me. WAR OF HEARTS is everything and so much more. I had my heart ripped apart, put back together and then shattered again ... just so many feels.

Absolutely exceptional and highly recommended. Top read for 2019 from Nina Levine.

Clearly I'm in the minority here but I give zero fucks. Bear with me, there will be some spoilers and LOTS OF ANGRY ALL CAPS.

I thought Part 1 of the book was excessively BORING. Fury and Zara start out hating each other but then develop a slowwwww attraction. Literally nothing happens between them. Zara has emotional issues, Fury rescues her from a few juvenile situations like frat-ish parties. They kiss ONE time. Nothing else. But they are suddenly in lurve and want a future together for a solid 15 hours before one of Fury's former clubwhores shows up pregnant with his baby. In 2.4 seconds Fury decides he must spend the rest of his life with the club whore WHO HE HATES, b/c of his unborn baby. You know, since it's 1918 and all. Plus, doesn't everyone know it's best to have 2 parents who DESPISE each other in the same house as opposed to 2 parents who are happier with other people but live in separate houses?? RIGHT. On top of this, can I just remind everyone that Fury KILLS people on the regular?? So MURDER he has no problem with, but he has very strict morals on staying with a club whore he impregnated so they can give the kid a wholesome, happy childhood. OKAY. Let's move on to Zara who immediately understands this conundrum and agrees that Fury should get back with Lynette for the baby. Zara, however, is SO DEVASTATED to lose the love of her life who she has only been friends with for a short time and kissed ONCE, that she MOVES TO ANOTHER CITY FOR 4 YEARS. I know people who have gotten past ex-spouses of 20 years quicker than this.

And let's be clear that our "hero" Fury gets back together FULLY with Lynette. Meaning he is fucking her, living with her, she is his life partner for THREE AND A HALF YEARS. Then, after they finally decide that it's not working without LOVE in the mix (big shocker) they decide to separate and co-parent. Does Fury call Zara up?? He later alleges he was thinking about her every single day even though HE WAS HAVING SEX WITH LYNETTE for all of those years. Nope, he doesn't look up Zara, he instead has sex with another club whore named Cara.

Part 2 begins as finally, Zara moves home and all of a sudden Fury sees her and remembers her. This is a HUGE problem for me because if Zara hadn't moved back home and been directly in front of Fury's face he NEVER would have pursued her or considered a relationship with her. But since it's convenient and HE'S decided he's available for her, he tells her they WILL happen. Is Zara angry? Offended? Hurt? Ofcourse not, she felt SORRY for Fury's plight and immediately wanted to jump on his dick and be one with him. BUT, there are STILL obstacles: Lynette, Noah, The Club Drama, Zara's sex issues, KING, etc. So now we're nearing the end, our Zero and Zara never even been in a true relationship, have only had sex one time and this was supposed to be a hot, forbidden, biker romance?? Then King exiles Fury to Melbourne, there's more MC crap which I skimmed but I know lots of people got injured. Then at the end Zara and Fury are finally together, King is still somewhat pissed, and Fury assures Zara nothing could separate them again...BUT he only stopped fucking Lynette a few months ago so I kept thinking that if she was pregnant again it would all start over b/c stupid Fury would think that since there's now TWO kids he has to marry Lynette. But whatever, by the epilogue I just didn't give a fuck about their future or their HEA.

I'll leave you with the "Best" quote that occurred when Zara tries to ask Fury about his 4 year relationship with Lynette (who he dumped Zara for): "Princess, we need to stop discussing exes and start discussing how we're gonna change our schedules so I don't have to go another week without having my mouth on this pussy." BE STILL MY HEART.

Dynamic! Explosive and heart wrenching but once again Nina Levine takes us on a rollercoaster ride through the wars of Storm Mc.

This war was a little closer to home for Zara and Fury they not only battled there own minds daily but the battle they put against there feelings for the sake of others time and time again tore me to shreds!

Zara was forced to show her vulnerable side which she’s always kept guarded it made my respect for her grown dramatically and by the end of the first few chapters I was in awe of the woman she was growing to be.

Fury has always been loyal to only one person in his life and since he joined Storm that loyalty grew to not only King but all the brothers around him. He finally found a true family and never wanted to do anything to endanger that relationship he held so high! He tries though, he fights with everything, he finally claims the life he wants only for his conscience to make him step up in ways it breaks not just him. One day he he gets that one little slither of a chance he was looking for, his second shot and man does Fury take it! This man will be playing on my mind for days! Hot doesn’t even cover him!

You hit it out of the park with this one! What a wild ride!! When someone threatens King’s daughter Zara, He sends Fury to make sure she is safe. Fury doesn’t want to babysit his MC President’s daughter, but there might be another reason why this assignment is tough. Fury craves the one person he shouldn’t, you guessed it...Zara. Zara has her own secrets she is trying to fight. They act like they can’t stand each other but sometimes we hate the ones we want the most. Can they both find redemption in each other? This is a forbidden love MC romance that drags you in from the very first page. I’m loving bad boy biker Fury and my heart breaks for all that Zara has been through. I truly loved everything about this book and how the characters evolved. Beautiful and Touching story! Don’t worry there’s plenty of MC action too! Told in dual POV

Can't seem to get enough of Nina Levine's MC books. This was another great book! Trigger warning:.
Rape, PTSD alcohol abuse. (Rape was not showing as it happened but was talked about and she told what happened.. we do not relive it all at once,)
Zara has gone through hell and don't know how to get threw it... How to get out of her own head.
.Fury had a rough up bringing. He learned at an early age how to put all his anger into fighting and how to deal with physical pain.
These two are just starting to really get to know each other and Zara is finally getting the mental help she needs to rebuild her life. Fury has been there trying to help her when his ex comes back and made a promise to himself that if he ever had a child they would grow up in a home with both parents. What does that mean for Zara?
I highly recommend this book and remember adults only.

I loved the part one of War of Hearts, it was the most unique take on a very hard topic I have ever read from Nina Levine.
Part two ruined it for me, that awesome feeling I got turned sour when I realized part two was just following the blurb. Step by step.

Wow! Holy hell! This one hands down will always be a favorite. It’s one that you can’t put down and you don’t want it to end. Fury and Zara’s journey doesn’t come easy for so many reasons. A slow burning love that’s raw, passionate, intense. So many emotions and complications. Whew! Fury makes me want to bake a cake. He’s the kind of man that would make breaking King’s rules worth it. He’s a bossy, bada$$ guy but with the right touch of sweetness. Then we have a$$hole King who you can’t help but love and hate at times. Fury is in for the war of his life because he knows King is a force to be reckon with. Not only is he dealing with the war in his heart, choices that he has to make, there’s a war brewing with the club. Nina never fails to write a story where the characters don’t come alive for you and this one you don’t want to miss. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book that I received from the author.

Storm is back with a vengeance and what an amazing ride this one was.
A lot is going down with The Storm MC but throw in a forbidden love and you have one heck of a story.
Fury is a loyal member of Storm and he will do whatever King asks of him but the one thing he does that is against all the rules is have an attraction to his daughter Zara but he is willing to take on the consequences when it comes to her.
Zara is a young woman who has been through so much in her life and trying to navigate through it all has been difficult but when she catches the eye of Fury she seems to know that he will help her through it all even if it might cause a problem.
Fury & Zara have a lot of obstacles to overcome and it might take them years to find there way to one another but everything has to happen for them to find themselves in the right place to hopefully find that everything is worth the wait to lead them on the road for them to find their HEA.

I was honored to receive an ARC of War of Hearts.
OMG, just finished War of Hearts and am floored by the emotion I felt through the entire book. The PTSD featured in the book and the lack of emotional connection felt between Zara and her father hit way too close to home to me.
King is so protective of his family but seems not to know when to draw the line at interference. He almost ruins a relationship because of his possessiveness and his inability to let go of certain situations.
The love that Fury and Zara have will last a lifetime and the trials and tribulations they experienced have cemented them together for a life time.
You need to start at the beginning of Storm MC series to get the full impact of how the dynamics work for all the relationships in this book.

I could not wait to read this! When Nina explained the delay for this release because the story wasn’t working and she needed to rewrite, I just knew it would be an epic tale.
And my goodness was it ever!!
The passion and pain Fury and Zara go through was just ARRGGHH!! So beautifully written!
I loved the action in this story too, a true MC story with a great balance of alpha-gravely voiced-hot as sin male with a strong-yet-relatable female mixed in with some graphic action makes this an absolute 5 star recommendation!
Congrats Nina!!

I was mesmerized by every single word and every single moment of Zara and Fury. JESUS, I was glued to my kindle for hours without a single break except when my mind went blank and I utter what the actual fuck when I flipped the page and I read Part 2 four years later. um, whaaaaat just happened?!

SO, now you know this story is told in two parts LOL and most of the time, at least in my experience, when I read these types of stories (divided in parts) its because we’re being told about someone’s past and then jump to present day. Not this time. This is more like part one was Zara and Fury growing and part two was MC madness. Not gonna lie, it was weird. I mean yes, when you read an MC romance, there’s usually a club business ARC that goes along with the romance arc of the story, but this was like one or the other mostly. I dunno, it was odd.

This isn’t a standalone. There, I said it LOL It’s actually rare that an mc romance is a standalone if you include club business as part of the book and some authors don’t. But this one did. Most definitely. Not only is it part of the book, but at the end you’re left hanging with a bunch of unanswered question *shrug* And I am totally okay with that , I’m just kinda weirded out by the presentation of the whole thing.

I’m a huge fan of Nina Levine and mc romances in general and obviously I will continue reading her work and this series but that whole blindsided parts thing in this story still has me twitchy. I’m seriously confused as to why the focus of Zara and Fury took such and extreme backseat in part two and why club business and their romance journey wasn’t just one evenly told story without a huge gap in between. #sendhelp It makes me a little sad to rate the book middle of the road with 3.5 stars, but my twitchiness just can't round it up to 4 stars so 3 it is.

Anywho, on to Battle Hearts in January 2020! I'm looking forward to maybe (lol) getting some club business answers and seeing where Nina takes the Storm MC! I'll be better prepared next time for excessive club shenanigans!! ;)

This was so worth the wait.
It’s amazing to me how much Zara has grown up since we first met her in King’s books. When we first met her she was going through such a difficult age and giving Lily such a hard time that I wondered what kind of woman she would grow up to be.
Jump ahead 4 years and you meet an 18 yr old woman who has gone through some traumatic events and trying to navigate who she is and all her emotions.
Enter Fury. Omg what can I say about Fury. The man was totally hot, totally alpha and knowing Zara was off limits, he was totally an asshole. And then he wasn’t.
They had so much chemistry. When a possible threat to Zara arises Fury is asked to keep an eye on her. With them constantly in each other’s space they develop a friendship and you can just feel the sexual tension coming right off the page.
I don’t want to give away too much of the story since Zara and Fury must face a lot of obstacles in the time to come. Their moto becomes “when life gives us a shitty situation, we have to choose from shitty options.“
I really enjoyed their story. I loved how much Zara grew and matured and became a self confident woman I love Nina’s writing. I could not put this book down. We still get the Storm men, their women and of course King!
I can’t wait for Battle Hearts!

I get so engrossed with Nina Levine’s biker men, it’s hard to put these books down! Fury is no exception to Nina’s sexy bossy alpha men. The sweet side they have for the women who own their hearts is swoon worthy.

Zara is King’s stepdaughter, and if you’re at all familiar with King from other Sydney Storm MC books, you’ll know that she’s definitely off limits. Fury is a hard and violent man who has been given the task of keeping an eye on Zara, but it’s when he finds he can’t keep his eyes off of her, that things get complicated. Zara might be somewhat broken, but she’s certainly no pushover and really wants to dislike cranky Fury, but even when they’re fighting, she can’t help being attracted. You know what they say about that line between lust, hate and love...it’s very fine! Their story is an angsty, steamy, forbidden slow burn with some major push and pull.

Alongside the romance in this series, we get a violent and suspenseful storyline of corruption and MC battles. Fury and Zara’s love may have reached a happy ending, but the MC war rages on and we now need the next book to find out how things play out.

Omg Fury has just stolen every bit of my heart. I was so excited for this book to come out I thought I loved King and Winter but wow I didn't expect Fury to swoop in that quick.

Fury has such an amazing heart for what he went through as a kid seeing what his dad did to his mother and still come out the way he did.

I loved that from the moment he saw Zara at that party when she chucked on him, he was there to help her go through all the hard time. Even being so attracted to her and not touch her was heart whelming for me to read.

I loved how strong willed Zara is. She's def like her mum which I loved. King had no hope with telling her what to do.

As much as I love King I so could of killed him the way he reacted to Fury and Zara but was glad he finally came to his senses and let them be together and not kicking Fury to stay in melb with Winter.

Nina you have out did your self with this book I def can say it was worth the wait for you to Re do the book. Can't wait for more Winter and Birdie in the next book 😍😍

War of Hearts is book two in the Storm MC Reloaded series by Nina Levine. Fury bodyguard to King, the president of Storm MC and one of his job is to look after his daughter Zara. Zara was having problems couping with trauma. Fury was able to get Zara to open up to him about her problems. However, in the process, Fury and Zara fellow in love. The readers of War of Hearts will continue to follow Fury and Zara to see what happens.

War of Hearts is the first book I have read of Nina Levine, and I enjoyed it. I love Nina Levine's portrayal of her characters and the way they intertwine with each other throughout the book. I like the way Nina Levine described the settings which complimented the plot in a way that allows me to engage with this book. War of Hearts was well written and researched by Nina Levine.

The readers of the War of Hearts will learn that you do not need to be a biological parent to provide love and support to children. Also, the readers of the War of Hearts will learn about running a small clubhouse.

I recommend this book.

Holy HOTNESS Nina has done it again. Fury has officially become my favorite Storm man. This story was full of action, love, heartbreak and the usual storm men hotness. This is Zara and Fury's story and oh what a story it was. Zara suffered a traumatic event that has changed her life and made her live in fear. Fury is all MAN yet kind, loving and attentive when it comes to Zara....too bad she is forbidden. Zara is his Presidents daughter which means hands off. Fury struggles with following his heart or respecting Kings rules. For Zara she knows what she wants and that's Fury. What happens when you fight like hell to stay away from the one you love. Do you give in to your passion or walk away? You will have to read the book to find out but I promise you that you won't be disappointed. I highly recommend this book and bravo to Nina for yet another amazing book!

A forbidden MC Romance, what a dilemma when you fall for the Prez's daughter.

WAR OF HEARTS is a book of two halves, the first being a young Zara who has fallen for one of her stepfather's men which is Fury.
Fury is given responsibility to look out for Zara following a threat and the two become close. Like all bikers in this series Fury is one sexy alpha, bossy with a cool demeanor and even though he tries to fight off his attraction towards Zara he fails and they become closer.
Just when you think Zara and Fury are getting somewhere in their relationship the plot takes a huge twist and turns one-eighty with not a very good explanation, the story then has a huge time-gap jumping to a few years later.

I love this series, Nina writes bloody good MC, giving you everything you need in the plot to keep you turning the pages and I was loving Fury but I was so unhappy with the turn of events, with Fury's decision and the way the plot went, I became very frustrated with his character. That was it for me, I wasn't interested anymore, talk about a moody reader but that was it.

All in all, I finished It, eventually got the ending I wanted but I just never felt the same towards Fury in the second half of this book.

Looking forward to the next book in the series and hopefully, this character won't piss me off.

Wow what a ride! A real roller coaster of emotions, turmoil, tension and violence in this deep story. Gosh I felt for Zara and Fury, attraction and strong friendship build a great base for more...
The club has so much going on as well.both charters are up against it and it's all hands on deck. This book is in two parts but don't be put off by that, both are intense but oh so good. I sat up late reading about 3 /4 of this book before my eyes gave up on me, I didn't want to put it down and hated that I had to go to work today so couldn't finish it till tonight. A lot of this is about the relationships, between Zara and Fury, Fury, Zara and her family and them with the club. I loved how interwoven it all is, the love and the loyalty. Even when it's hard it's there..Some of the subject matter is sensitive and handled really well so you understand the feelings and the pain that go with it, I adore this couple and look forward to more of them in future books,. Nina always excelles with her books they are gripping and exciting often have me on the exge of my seat and the suspense is through the roof. I want these guys as my friends for real, each and every one of them both male and female have a big place in my heart and that just expands with each new character that comes along. Fantastic and compulsive read .

Wow...unputdownable! This book is an angsty, steamy, forbidden, slow burn with some major push and pull.

I get so engrossed with Nina Levine’s biker men, life gets put on hold!

You know what they say about that line between lust, hate and love...it’s very fine!

Alongside the romance in this series, Nina deals with some serious issues, such as PTSD and rape, and she does it so well. We also get a violent and suspenseful storyline of corruption and MC battles. Fury and Zara’s love may have reached a happy ending, but the MC war rages on and we now need the next book to find out how things play out.

2.75 rounding up to 3 stars

The first half of this book was everything! but then we had a sudden time jump which nobody saw coming and it because of this we lost 4 years and a lot of the feelings the start of the book had. I felt like so much was glossed over.. I kinda felt cheated. That time jump and the second half of this book was jolting and a complete disservice to what the first half of the book had built up. Will continue with the series but I’m a bit disappointed in this one.
