Amazing conclusion to a heartstopping romance! So, Book 1 - Cheeky Royal - ends with all the secrets coming out in one OMG scene. But wait, there's so much more! Cheeky King goes so much deeper into the history of the Winston Isles and Sebastian's family than I was expecting. Everything he thought in the first book was completely turned on its head, and it's no wonder that he's operating from an entirely different emotional plane in the second. Penny, too, seems to have found herself down the rabbit-hole, where nothing is as it was in NYC, nor is it what it was before she left home. Their romance has taken a seat so far in the back that it's not even on the same bus! But, their explosive chemistry didn't go anywhere, leaving these two without any hope for a future but no chance of walking away, either. The suspense is nail-biting, on several different fronts. Sebastian has to deal with the death of his father and its aftermath, plus he has to take on the leadership for his country, then there's the issue of succession rights, how Lucas fits in to it all, which friends he can really count on, and so forth. It's enough to make one's head spin, and it's done so beautifully that the reader can really feel Sebastian's frustration and exhaustion. Then there's the matter of Penny - the one problem that Sebastian has no clue how to solve. For her part, Penny knows that her time in NYC changed her in ways that she can't come back from, but she honestly has no idea where to go from here. She's left adrift to figure things out for herself, at least when Sebastian isn't kissing her senseless, which only leaves her with more questions that have impossible answers. By the time we come full circle to the gallery opening that was the impetus for the events in NYC in the beginning, all our questions are answered and all the secrets are revealed. It's an amazing journey from start to finish, and it makes me wish there really was a Winston Isles nation that I could visit. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

What a wonderful conclusion to the Royals Undercover series. Cheeky King picks up where Cheeky Royal left off. Poor Sebastian is heartbroken at the sudden loss of his father before they could completely resolve their issues. The one person who he desperately wants to turn to for comfort has known his true identity all along, and he feels completely betrayed and alone. Sebastian and Penny return home to their new and different lives and responsibilities. There are so many questions that need to be answered. Ms. Malone unravels the answers expertly adding in several plot twists that keep you guessing. The fiery chemistry between Sebastian and Penny is hotter than ever. They are both heartbroken and lost without the other, chained to their stations in life. I did want to slap Sebastian several times feeling like his character deviated from who he was in New York. But he came through and was as swoony as ever. There was still the wonderful humour that Ms Malone does so well along with intrigue and emotion that kept me totally engaged. I love a great grand gesture and the ending was so very satisfying. This is a wonderful conclusion to this series but I hope to see more of all of theses Cheeky Royals!

You'll find it hard not to fall in love with Penny and Sebastian. They'll take you on an emotional roller coaster and drive you crazy at times. Well written with complex, adorable characters and an entertaining story line. No shortage of suspense, drama or secrets. This is the second book in the Royals Undercover Series and picks up where Cheeky Prince left off. A tale of royalty and forbidden love. This is a great series and I love that it's written from a dual POV. A great series, make sure you start at the beginning. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
