From International Bestseller Michelle Horst, comes a new, sexy standalone novel in the Enemies To Lovers series.

RHETT

Evie Cole. She's the one person I can't figure out.
People say they love you, but what they really mean is that they love how you make them feel about themselves, or what they can take from you.
I can't leave her on the streets, so I make her a deal she can't refuse. It buys me the time I need to figure out whether Evie is the real deal or just another gold-digger.
The day Evie graduates, she breaks all contact with me, which proves that she was only in it for the money.
At least, that's what I think, until random payments are made to my bank account.

EVIE

Rhett Daniels. My hero, who saved me from a life on the street. My unrequited love, who will sleep with every girl but me.
His playful smile and humorous façade might fool others, but not me. I see myself in his eyes.
He only has one rule.
He'll pay for my education, giving me a chance to become independent. All I have to do is keep my clothes on which also means no dating.
I hate being his charity case, but I tell myself it will only be until I graduate. I will find a way to pay him back.
The worst part is that I fell in love with him.
Hoping to forget the one man I can never have, I move to the other side of the country. I'm determined to make it on my own, but things don't always work out the way we want them to.

This is book #5 in the Enemies To Lovers Series. Each book in the series is about a different couple. To get the full experience of their friendship, I'd recommend that you start with Heartless.

Reading Order:
Heartless - Carter & Della
Reckless - Logan & Mia
Careless - Jaxson & Leigh
Ruthless - Marcus & Willow
Shameless - Rhett & Evie

This is my first Michelle Horst book and this will probably be the last Michelle Horst book.

The thing that really got me with this book was the false advertising. Based on the summery and the cover I thought I would get a smutty book. I did not.

The first half of the book was pretty decent. I liked the writing flow and the pace was really fast. It was slightly too fast for me, but it kept the plot going. It was basically the summary that was described.

The second half of the book that’s where everything fell apart. I really hate it when authors put a half naked man on the cover and don’t give me sex. I mean, I had to wait for the before anything happened and by then I was kind of over the book.

I was confused how Rhett was rich. SURE he was taken in by a rich guy, but did that mean Rhett was a millionaire? What 19-year-old who is semi-adopted by a rich guy is also rich himself? I wanted that to be explained a little better.

There were A LOT of repetitive parts. Like how many times can Evie ask why Rhett wanted to help her. I wanted to scream, BECAUSE someone helped him out. Good grief if I had to take a shot for every time she asked that I would be passed out drunk.

To my surprise the book is long. But half of the book was filler stuff. A lot of filler boring stuff that I skimmed. I felt like it didn’t add anything to the plot and the second half of the book was written by another person.

ALSO, don’t read this book if you haven’t read the previous books. So much of the previous characters are talked about I got confused to who is who and what was happening. At one point characters were written in and I was like who the heck is this person?

I just didn’t like the writing flow. If this was the first book by the author I could let a lot of things go, but I didn’t like the way everything was paced.

30% of the book could have been edited out. Too many of the previous characters are written in. There was not enough sex and I hate that the summary described her as a virgin, like I said false advertising, you will understand once you read it.

I was highly disappointed and I felt like I had a pretty open mind when I went in to this book.

So disappointed. Such a manwhore and the h the biggest dormat.
At one point she leaves him. Yeah, ! good for you girl. There's so much you can take by watching him with other women. And then after 6 years (6 FUCKING YEARS !)he asks forgiveness and you take him back? He didn't even talk to you for 6 years. He continues his manwhore ways. THAT'S how much he loved you.
The two stars is for my patience to finish the book!

Finally finished this series. I really liked the first half of this book because Rhett and Evie were cute but after that it just got super boring, lost momentum, and things wrapped up way too quickly. I also am going to say it.

I don't care for Mrs. Sebastian as a comedic relief.

I don't care about anyone's children after book 1.

Title: Shameless (Enemies to Lovers #5)
Author: Michelle Heard (Horst)
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Rating: 5/5

I received an arc of this book in return for an honest review.

Finally Rhett and Evie get their own story told in this, the final instalment of the series where we’ve seen the boys of the Screw Crew brought to their knees by the woman they love.

Rhett and Evie are both in their late teens when they first meet, Rhett’s in a considerably better place than Evie, straight away she brings out his protective side and this is how their relationship starts, he becomes her saviour giving her opportunities she’d never have had. Both share an attraction towards each other, they both grow to love one another but it’s more than that for Evie, she is in love with Rhett he however is convinced he can’t give her what she deserves he’s more of a one and done type of guy. Unrequited love doesn’t bode well with Evie and she leaves for the other side of the country and it’s only years later Rhett realises that he’s let the one woman he loves and who truly loved him back slip through his fingers.

Is it to late? Can he get her back, has she moved on? All you have to do it read Shameless and find out, trust me you won’t be disappointed, Michelle has saved the best till last.

Rhett, Rhett, Rhett, he started this journey a boy but finished a man and one of his main redeeming qualities was a little princess named Danny who called him Uncle Ledge.

I laughed so much reading this, the interactions between Rhett and Miss Sebastian had me in stitches, we could all be doing with a Miss Sebastian in our lives. Yes I Laughed, I cried and I swooned reading this, 5 well deserved stars out 5 of course I’m sad it’s the end of this journey but I’m soo excited to start the next with Michelle ❤️.

This is book five in the Enemies to Lovers series. Each book is about a different couple but to get the most of this series I recommend you read them in order- Heartless, Reckless, Careless, Ruthless and then Shameless.

This is Rhett and Evie’s story. I really loved Evie. I thought she was a really lovely caring girl. I love how much stronger she got as we read more of the story.

When Rhett meets Evie his protective streak comes out and he takes care of her. Evie loves Rhett but has had enough of how he’s behaving so she moves on. Six years later fate steps in and Rhett realised he wants Evie. Does she still love him?

I absolutely loved this story. It’s s great conclusion to this series. So many great characters throughout the series. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author.

Dear Michelle, you never disappoint.
I've been waiting (really impatiently) for Rhett and Evie to come out. First of all, Evie, oh dear Evie, I love her so much! She´s such a sweet, caring and honest person. She didn't drown in her misery, she fought with all she had to belong somewhere, to belong to someone. I admire this character and her strength so much! And Rhett, the sexy joker, he thought he could be the tough one. The one who would never fall in love. What a dumb boy! He could make Evie laugh her ass off and seconds later he would bake her heart. But time is wiser and did what had to be done. I loved this story. It has funny moments, really sad ones and it teaches you to never give up. I´ll really miss the Screw Crew )°;

Shameless was so worth the wait and anticipation. Michelle saved the best for the last. With every story in the series Michelle kept on raising the bar and I honestly had high expectations for this story and Michelle didn’t disappoint me she super ceded what I had expected . I literally devoured the story as soon as it was delivered to my kindle.

This story was charged on so many different levels and played with heart and emotions. Rhett’s character had really attracted me from the first scene he was introduced in Heartless and as the series went through I got more and more attracted to his character. He was the joker , flirt and playboy but there was so much more to him. He is hiding behind this facade of being a guy with no moral values who goes through one night stands but his interactions with Evie and also the way he treats Mia and later Danny proves that he is a rare gem . The strong bond between the guys was strong as ever and it was shining out throughout the story. I loved Rhett and Danny’s interactions and bond that was just heart meltingly adorable. The last chapter and epilogue was just fabulously written. Such a perfect ending for this series. I can’t believe this series has ended. Be read to be Rhett-azzled in Shameless. Rhett will totally touch your heart and win you over .

Michelle talents shines through this series in each and every book with leaps and bonds she is truly a brilliant author. Absolutely Loved Shameless , it’s worth infinite stars rating ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Would highly recommend this book and series.

Hands down, my favourite book in the series, Michelle most definitely saved the best ‘til last. I fell hard for Rhett, I can see why Evie never stood a chance. Rhett is so protective with those he loves and when Evie falls into the fold he realises that in order to help her he must treat her like a friend and there can be nothing else. Rhett only does one night stands, and there’s no way he would even consider going there with Evie. He’s her guardian angel and that’s it. Evie on the other hand knows she’s in love with Rhett, and she knows that Rhett feels nothing for her only friendship. She thinks he’s not attracted to her, knowing this, and seeing him with countless different women, she ups and leaves straight after school. Fast forward 6 years and they meet again, Rhett though, is unwilling to let her go without a fight. I love how much all the ‘Screw Crew’ have developed throughout this series, what a fantastic journey. Thank you so much Michelle for letting me be a part of it. I received an advanced copy of this book from the author. This is my honest review.

If I could i would give this series like a million stars. I can't believe it is over. It's like coming to an end of your vacation and you don't want to leave :-(

This book... Can't even describe it. Freaking Heartbreaking and so sad, but also so many other things. Rhett is freaking stubborn and funny and Hot and totally alpha male. And Evie... Beautiful, sweet, caring naïve, but so good. Two broken people coming together and healing each other.
This book will have you crying, laughing and then crying again and maybe you would want to smack Rhett upside the head a couple of times. But all in all I think (not that I wanted it to) but a great ending to a Freaking awesome journey.

Michelle you did an amazing job with each of these characters from book 1, and this is one series that I will definitely be re-reading again and again

I'm sad to see the end of this series. I have loved each of the books and now I have devoured the last one and loved it, also.
Rhett is jaded and only loves one person his sister, Mia. Then he finds a young woman, Evie, who is working for a cleaning company and doesn't believe she's of age. He keeps her behind and tells the other girls to leave, but she doesn't stay. He goes to where she was working and finds out she was fired. Rhett is determined to find her. When he does, he takes her to a hotel and tells her he will be back and to meet him in the lobby at 9am.
He's early and is anxious. She shows and they discuss his proposition over breakfast to help her. She agrees and they search for an apartment and enrolls her in school. The only thing she has to do is study and keep her grades up.
She does everything she is expected to do. Then she hears the guys talking about the screw crew. She leaves without being noticed...

Five stars are not enough.
Michelle you have broken my heart into a thousand pieces with this series time and time again, and Rhett is no exception. I adored the conclusion to this series and getting to see Rhett and Evies story was so emotional and spellbinding. A good few times Rhett deserved a smack upside the head but I'm so glad they got their HEA and the epilogue just shattered my soul. Miss Sebastian was a joy as always and I love her. The new characters from Evies life are so intriguing and added to her story perfectly, I loved learning all about her past and how it came to be that she met Rhett. Once again you've gifted us with a masterpiece that has left me emotionally shattered and with a severe book hangover. Thank you and I hope you keep gifting us with the joy of your paper babies ❤

Anytime I start a Michelle Horst novel I am prepared to sit back and just have her transport me to a beautiful story that will rock my world with all the emotions. I loved the previous stories with the ScrewCrew in her Enemies to Lovers series and could not wait for Rhett's story. I was seriously hooked on hin and Evie and could not get enough.

I thought this story was great. It has fiery chemistry and the angsty push and pull was great. At times I wanted to slam Rhett's head to pieces as I just wanted him to see what was in front of his face. But I loved when Evie held her own. It was great seeing everyone else in the series as this crew has become ne as r and dear to my heart. I can't wait for what this author has in store for us next! Bravo! 4.5 stars! ~Ratula

5+ STARS OF AWESOMENESS

First of all, I loved everything about this whole series.

Rhett’s book is the last one and it is the icing on the cake. The journey of these 5 brothers/best friends is nothing short of heartless, reckless, careless, ruthless, shameless emotions but so full of ABSOLUTE LOVE. Every single book tells stories of how mistakes turns into lessons of how to find happiness and forevers. MH is an absolute beast with her writing. This is definitely one of my ALL TIME FAVOURITE READS. It’s the only series that at the end, I couldn’t pick a favourite.. every single book was written with so much love that I cannot pick a favourite. The way each book was written gave light to how truly amazing each of the characters were without outshining the other.

Loved loved loved this book and the other 4. BUY THIS SERIES. It’s worthy enough for your reader soul!!!

Ps: I know there were some some things that others may not have enjoyed, but if you take the time to read it and enjoy it, you’ll see the progress of each characters and how Hell rained down on them before they all started shaping up. Cmon, we all tend to steer the right way when we see the consequences of our mistakes play in front of our eyes. Really, I think the guys redeemed themselves. Some relationships other than between the MC’s were some of my favourites. I didn’t read this as an arc. Literally just binge-read this to enjoy my time and so I guess I wasn’t feeling too critical. But in all honesty, I read this because of the whole family dynamic it has going on in this series. The way these guys built their family when things went south in each of their lives... that’s what I appreciate and love. I mean we’re all different. Some may not like these but I hope you give it a chance to read without judgement. It’s awesome!

Book Name/Series: Shameless (Enemies to Lovers #5)
Author: Michelle Horst/Michelle Heard
Standalone?: I would suggest reading the books in order to get a better understanding of everything.

1 Stars

Summary of the Storyline: 18 years-old Evie is living on the streets after running away from her foster home to escape being forced into prostitution. She’s struggling, but she’s gotten a job as a topless maid which is where she meets Rhett. She’s initially afraid of him and what he wants, so when he offers to help fund her education, she doesn’t know what to think. After thinking it over she decides to agree. However, she falls in love with Rhett and being around him when he doesn’t feel the same is too hard, so she leaves. She vows to pay him back for everything one day though.

When Rhett’s parents died, someone was there to help him and his sister, so they didn’t end up homeless. Because of this he can’t leave Evie on the streets and makes a deal with her that he will pay for an apartment and her education, and she just has to keep her clothes on and not date. But when she leaves, he’s convinced she was only in it for the money. However, 6 years later he suddenly receives a large amount of money from Evie and he realises his mistake.

My Opinion: Unfortunately I did not enjoy reading this book. I spent the majority of it either confused at what was going on, or angry and frustrated at the characters. It also contained things that I typically don’t like in my romance books; a long separation, a manwhore hero who is a jerk to the heroine, sex with other people when the hero or heroine are in love with each other, and no grovelling after the hero messes up.

First off, there were a lot of confusing things about this story as well as things that felt incomplete. Examples:

Second, I wasn’t a fan of the writing overall and I thought the book was longer than it needed to be. I also got very frustrated with all the time jumps.

Third, I didn’t like how many sex scenes there were with other people. I found it off-putting, and I found the level of detail unnecessary.

Overall, this book was not my thing at all, and I don’t think I’m going to read anything else by this author.

Hero: 1/5. I didn’t like Rhett at all. He was a jerk to Evie, and he was incredibly cruel and callous with women in general. I also really hated how much of a manwhore he was. I did not think he deserved Evie or made up for all the things he’d done.
Heroine: 2/5. I wasn’t a fan of Evie. I got very frustrated with her on several occasions, and I thought she took Rhett back way too easily. The only reason I didn’t give her 1 star was because she left him to begin with.

POV: 1st person dual POV (Evie and Rhett).

Push/Pull:

Sadness: 1/5.

Explicit Sex and Heat Level: Yes. 4/5.

OW (Other Woman)/OM (Other Man) Drama: Yes.

Separation:

Cheating: Yes in my opinion.

Closure/Ending: HEA, with an epilogue 10 and 14 years into the future. Evie wasn’t actually present in the epilogue which I found really odd.

This was so bittersweet for me. I was so excited to finally get Rhett & Evie’s story, but I love this series so much I never wanted it to end! That said this was an epic finale to one of my absolute favorite series. Spanning the years from when Evie and Rhett first meet all the way to the present their story is full of heartbreak, sweetness, swoony romance, and more. Like every single book before it with the screw crew I was immediately glued to the pages as soon as I started reading it.

Rhett and Evie are even more than I thought they’d be. Evie’s past is even more heartbreaking than Rhett’s and these two damaged souls come together with explosive chemistry right out of the gate. Their start shows a whole other side to Rhett that we’ve gotten glimpses of before. Even when I occasionally wanted to smack him I still loved him. He has such a deeply caring heart even when he doesn’t realize it himself it’s impossible not to love him.

I adored Evie even more than Rhett. Her strength and will to keep going no matter the circumstances made her someone I found myself rooting for. The things she overcame while still remaining a genuinely good person and the way she truly loved Rhett were pure beauty. Add in my ultimate favorite of Miss Sebastian and this book is pure gold!

Michelle Horst
Screw Crew
Enemies to Lovers
Book #5
Rhett and Evie
Unrequited
Dual POV
Can be read as a standalone, but ideally read in order to get a better insight.

We've had Heartless:- Where Carter got his butt handed to him by Della
Reckless:- When Logan never stood a chance against Mia
Careless:- Where Jaxson met his match with Leigh
Ruthless:- When Marcus got saved by Willow

Now we have Shameless, the Fifth book, last couple remaining, Rhett and Evie.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Evie ends up running away from foster care due to the fact that the couple that took her in turn out to be pimps. Not wanting to become a prostitute, Evie runs and becomes homeless. She ends up working as a topless cleaner that gets hired by the guys. But Rhett sees that there's something up with Evie and takes her aside and offers her a safe place to stay and the opportunity to an education. She promises that she'd pay him back. Not wanting to feel like a charity case.
Rhett doesn't trust easily, especially women, thinking that they're all gold diggers, but he can't figure out Evie. He wants to help her, just like when Carter's Dad took him and his Sister Mia in when their parents died.
He gets her settled in an apartment and in College. They develope feelings for each other. Evie is in love with Rhett. While Rhett feels protective of her, but loves her as a friend, he also pushes those niggling feelings away & tries to keep Evie at arms length. Because he's a class A Jerk.
A few years later, Evie can't take anymore of Rhetts manwhoring ways. She leaves.
Six years later, Rhett, who's still feeling horrible for letting Evie go. He finds unexplained money deposited in his bank account. Finding out that it was Evie who put it there, she kept her promise all those years that she'd pay him back. Wanting to find her & tell her that he's sorry and wanting her back in his life. He finds her.
While working as a topless waitress in the years to pay Rhett back. She never broke down. Staying strong. Still trying to find where she fits in & belongs. She finds out more about her birth parents. Finding the Parental love she's been wanting all her life. She's stunned when Rhett turns up at her door.
Does she give Rhett a second chance?
Do they explore what could be if they got together?

Catching up with eveyone, Miss 'Bedazzling' Sebastian & Ryan was great. I cried, laughed, awed.
So bittersweet because it's come to the end of the Screw Crew.

Shameless (Enemies to Lovers #5) by Michelle Heard (Horst) is one of the best in the series. I found myself sad to find this series ending while at the same so excited to finally get Rhett & Evie’s story.
Evie runs from her foster home because she knows that when she turns eighteen she will be given no choice but to work as a prostitute for her foster parents. She really struggles on her own on the streets but does finally end up getting a job. Evie wasn’t expecting to meet Rhett and have him offer her the world- which is pay for everything and not have to take her clothes off. Rhett sees Evie and instantly thinks of his sister and wants to help Evie with her life and protect her and make sure she succeed in life. Evie falls for Rhett while Rhett fights his feelings for Evie. There is this push/pull between them. Rhett has these past issues making him think people love only what you can do for you, not who you are and he lumps Evie into that mix. One night something happens when he sees Evie dressed up and he says a totally nasty comment which he instantly regrets but he doesn’t apologize right away. When he finally goes to her, he ends up finding out more about her background and it makes him ache for her and the past she had to endure. Evie does forgive him because she knows he didn’t really mean it and because she is in love with him. Evie is struggling from seeing Rhett with other women and knows he will never love her the way she wants and she also wonders how many times can he be heartless, and carelessly push her away, before she leaves for good? That’s when she decides its time to leave because she doesn’t see him changing and her love will never be reciprocated. Will Rhett realize what he has before it’s too late? Will Evie get the HEA she finally deserves? Will Rhett and Evie get their HEA together or will his doubts and struggles keep them apart? This is a story that is so emotionally investing and full of feels that I was taken from sadness to hopelessness to hope and joy with each turn of the page. Ms. Heard has done a phenomenal job with making the characters into people that you instantly connect with and root for, even if they are total jerks(Rhett) and beautiful broke souls ( Evie). This book truly blew me apart and put me back together. I am so sad this is it but what a way to end things. This is a MUST READ , in fact the whole series is a complete must read!

I’m not ready!! Not even a little bit for this series to be over. It’s been heartache (Thanks Marcus) but it’s also about finding your happily ever after when you least expect it. Shameless finally gave us Rhett and Evie. I think it was the perfect end to this amazing series that captured my heart with the first chapter of the first book.

Rhett is the jokester he hides behind his persona and doesn’t let anyone but the guys and Mia close. He’s had a rough childhood marred with tragedy but him and Mia rise above it with the help of Mr. Hayes. One day he hires a cleaning service that employs topless woman and when the seemingly meek Evie walks in his whole thoughts change. He saves her but in the same breath he pushes her away. He starts to question his life when the rest of the guys grow up and create families. He has some unique tendencies and tends to stick to one night stands. He has an epiphany and sets out to make Evie forgive him.

Evie is homeless. Well she wasn’t always homeless. She fled her foster home and decided that living on the streets was better than what would have become of her had she stayed. Evie may look meek and helpless on the outside but inside she’s tough. When she meets Rhett she is intimidated but knows if she wants to get off the streets she better take his offer. She doesn’t plan to fall for him but when she does she flees. 6 years later Rhett walks back into her life. She knows her life is bad but she’s been reconnecting with her past and trying to make things right.

Oh. Em. Gee. I love Rhett and Evie. I don’t care that Rhett is a kinky dude. I just loved this series. I have loved all of Michelles work from the dark romance to this. She makes you feel for characters you wouldn’t normally relate to. I’m sad to see this end but I can’t think of a better couple to go out with. The epilogue gives you a little more closure. Can we get spin offs with the kids? I think that would be an awesome idea!!! Thank you for your words Michelle Horst you are amazing.

I can honestly say that I have loved this series and am gutted that we have now come to the end. I have been desperate for Rhett and Evie’s story from the beginning, it was definitely worth the wait.

When you first meet Rhett in the first book as the guy with no morals and the quintessential man whore who goes through one night stands like a duck takes to water. He hides behind the façade of the funny guy but he is fiercely protective of those that he cares about and loves, but past experiences with women has left him jaded and unable to trust. That is until he meets Evie Cole and all he wants to do is protect and help her. So he offers her a deal that is impossible to refuse.

Evie is a young naïve girl who due to circumstances beyond her control is living on the streets, having escaped her abusive foster parents not wanting to enter the family business she decides being homeless is better than what her awaits her with them. Finally she gets a job which throws her head first in to Rhett Daniels world. After finally accepting Rhett’s offer of a chance of a better future and an education. It’s not long before Evie is irrevocably in love with Rhett but watching him with the endless one night stands is slowly destroying her so deciding that she needs to move on she decides to move away far away, and look for her birth parents.

Its six years later and thoughts of Evie still haunt Rhett and what he let get away, thinking that she no longer cares about her he is shocked when he finds a payment paying off her debt. Realising that Evie wasn’t like everyone else she really just wanted him can he prove to her that they belong together or has he left it too late and she has moved on? Will they get their happy ever after?

I loved Rhett’s scenes with the adorable Danny and Miss Sebastian they really are just too cute.

I laughed, smiled and many times had tears in my eyes reading this book as I followed Evie and Rhett’s heartbreakingly sweet story. I recommend this book and the entire series, it’s a change of pace for Michelle Horst soon to be Michelle Heard although these are light hearted there is still some serious drama in each and every book. Looking forward to the next adventure she decides to take us on….. I cannot tell you how gutted I am that this series is over but it finished epically and as a finale she saved the best for last.

The Screw Crew is bedazzled with Shameless as the final installment in Michelle Heard’s enemies to lovers series. Rhett and Evie’s story has finally arrived and we are shown the connection of why Rhett is completely possessive over the girl whom he never touches.

“You’re not more, Evie,” I whisper as I press my forehead to hers. “You’re everything.”

I am saddened to know this is the last book as I have. Loved. Every. Single. Book! I am going to miss the crew, the drama, the love. Maybe Michelle will write a story on Miss Sebastian and Ryan which will bring everyone back together. Now, that will be one heck of a comical book!

Rhett truly holds all the cards. His outer coat elicits a different persona than his heart. “Basically, on the outside, I might look like a safe bet, but on the inside, I’m a twisted fuck.” Upon first sight of Evie, he sees a broken girl and helps to bring the woman out, but with regulations… as time moves on, Evie’s heart follows but she sees the man everyone else worships… the Screw Crew member. To keep her heart intact, she needs to do the hardest thing; but for Rhett, will it eventually be too late?

If you have not started this enemies to lovers journey with all the bad boys of the Screw Crew, then you are sorely missing out. These books, especially Shameless, are beautifully and emotionally written right from the beginning. Emotions run high with each of the books depending on the men, but for Rhett it was at an all time high, save the best for last, as your heart will melt for the love Rhett evokes towards Mia, Danny and Evie.

There are not enough stars for Shameless. This book as well as this series is one that will be embedded in my heart for all time sake. One that will be re read over and over again. It takes a talented, brilliant author to have not just a book, but a series to have a response such as this from a reader. Hats off to Michelle Heard!

I loved that this story was the last on the series, it’s what i had been waiting for. The thing i love is that this whole series is my favorite each book was so different and i really liked each one so equally.

I did feel like the other books in series were the lead up to Shameless just because Evie and Rhett were so prominent in the others and These guys stories were there bursting to come out.

I loved how we got the back story to this couple and it really set the picture of where this story was going to go and i loved that we really got to know Rhett and Evie from thier pasts to thier futures

Rhett alway ms hid behind his joking bravado but really all that was underneath was a scared boy and man who was too afraid to trust and love and he pushed the only woman away that he would love. He thought he was different and that no one would accept who he was but when you have a family of friends who love unconditionally and a girl who fell in love you so innocently it takes a while to realise your not alone and not everyone wants to know you or be with you because of your status.

Evie’s story was so heartbreaking, it was emotional for the first half of this book because you couldn’t believe what she went through and how brave she was to make the decisions she did, at least one decision led her to Rhett. I really loved Evie all she wanted in life was to be happy to know that she came from a family that wanted her and be so independent. I must admit Evie was one of my favorite characters to see her get her happy ending.

This book was pretty angsty, full of drama, it was emotional and by the end i was laughing. I loved reading about the previous characters and it was so good to see how it all turned out for these guys from the Screw Crew.

Loved this book a massive 5 stars for them but also another massive 5 stars for this series one of my favorites for 2017/2018.

I always thought that out of the entire Screw Crew Rhett was the least offensive, arrogant and would do the least damage.
While he wasn't Carter, he did have a moment or two when he rivaled or slightly surpassed Carter in being a dick a time or two. He wasn't consistently like that though.

Throughout the series, the sense was that Rhett and Evie's story would be a big one.
Michelle didn't disappoint. Evie had a terrible childhood that no one should have to experience, yet she survived.

Rhett really was the hero of the day, but as we know, there are always strings attached. Rhett's just reared their head when he was jealous. unfortunately for him, that was when he did the most damage.
Evie had to much self respect and eventually did what was right for her. It gave her an opportunity to grow up. If there was one thing she was going to do, it was no longer being beholden to Rhett.
Once she settles that, her life takes on a whole new dimension. That load is finally gone and she is free to spread her wings. My goodness, does she come into her own. I loved the way she blossomed and found direction in her life.

Rhett, it took him some time to actually be honest with himself about his feelings and his bad behaviour towards Evie. The problem is, how does he go about fixing it and can he?

The story wrapped up the entire series beautifully, it brought everything together and settled all the characters. Some shouted louder to be heard, while others were there quietly all along. Rhett and Evie's story had the ending one would hope for.

well done Michelle on a great series. It didn't escape my notice that you introduced a whole set of new male characters, here's hoping that they each have their own story to tell.

Shameless is the last books in the series and so the last screw crew member to fall in love and tell his story is Rhett.

I love this series, every book I have flown through unable to get enough from the characters, their stories, and the anticipated endings.

I love an enemies to lovers story which is what each one of these boy's stories is based on but I thought Rhett was more the savior and the prince charming to the damsel in distress than an enemy, he just couldn't take it any further romantically through his trust issues and that made him a heart-breaker.

Rhett took Evie off the streets when she was a teenager going from foster homes and once she turned 18 it was prostitution or worse or go hungry. Once Rhett met Evie he couldn't help but support her, his own past and the way he was saved too had a big part to play in Rhett wanting to help Evie. As Evie grew older so did her love for Rhett and vice versa but it just never became more and Evie could no longer live with her feelings she could no longer see Rhett with his one night stands and so she moved away. The plot jumps to years later and Rhett still regretting letting Evie go, every day he is reminded of Evie.

A great story of trust, fate and second chances

Recommended series by Michelle Heard . Can be read as a standalone but recommended to be read from the beginning in the screw crew school years

I feel like I've waited for Evie and Rhett to finally get their story. The anticipation to this book had me anxious to read it. While we meet both Evie and Rhett in the first book, we don't know much about Evie. And while Rhett seemed to be an open book, he had some secrets. I admit that I wished Evie made Rhett work a little harder for another chance. But I do understand, that she loved him and missed him so giving him a another chance with her heart was inevitable.

I really enjoyed getting to know Evie. Her childhood in the foster care system was heartbreaking. I am very thankful to the author for giving Evie one of the best happy endings. For so long she had nothing. When everything she ever dreamed of was finally in her reach, I was so thrilled. Evie deserved her HEA and more.

The book starts in the past when Evie and Rhett first meet, then the second half of the book brings us to the present. Right from the beginning, there is strong chemistry between them. The years they spent apart did not diminish that attraction and were not easy for either of them. I won't spoil anything for you so you'll have to read this book to find out. That said, Shameless can be read as a standalone but I strongly recommend you read this series from the beginning. You will better understand AND enjoy the dynamic between all the characters. There are a lot of them and the author did a great job with their stories as well.

The epilogue was amazing and I am hopeful that Michelle will gift us with the next generation of these amazing characters.

This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)

The book was bittersweet for me. On one hand I have been dying for Rhett & Evie's story as each book gave us more of them and what was there broke my heart for them and on the other I'm sad as all get out because I have fallen in love with each and every character in this series and I'm so sad its over. Michelle has done such a wonderful job with this series and every book was smooth and no noticeable timeline errors or story changes at least not that I noticed. Although you can read them as a standalone, it is so much more enjoyable to read in order to get the full affect of each couples relationship and the friendship between everyone.

I knew that the relationship these two have was one that would make me so enraged as I've watched it in all the other books, but man, a girl can hope right?? Rhett was his normal un-trusting, jerk, who plays hot and cold, being nice and then spewing hurtful things and the guy who gets with so many different girls just like he was in the other books but to get their perspectives about it all just broke my heart. Mistakes are made, time goes by and hearts are broken. While things play out as they are meant to be and probably was good for both I was still upset by his behavior. Then again seeing their growth and finding themselves and others along the way was a truly enjoyable thing to read about and just made this book wonderful.

I highly recommend this series. I think that so many people would absolutely love each and every book as I did.
