Sometimes the one is right in front of you...

Natalie

Recently divorced? Check. Trust issues from ex-husband? Check.

Meeting my soulmate on a plane to Cancun? Not what I expected.

This bachelorette weekend was all about letting loose and having fun, not finding the man of my dreams. Guess you can’t pick when you find your soulmate. Oops.

I’m not ready for another commitment, but Parker drives me crazy. One wild weekend in the tropics later, and I’ve found Parker’s the man that stands out from all the boys I’ve had before.

But can we really last once this trip is over? I have my doubts, but Parker wants to take our relationship sky-high...

Parker

I’m not a guy that likes to get serious. Flings are more my thing, and I know exactly how to satisfy any lady that crawls into my bed.

But Natalie offers something more, and with one look at her, I know this bachelor’s getaway just became a romantic quest to chase down the girl of my dreams.

We’ve got a strong connection, but Natalie’s trust issues have forced us to remain distant. I could never break her heart like her ex did. And I’m about to prove it.

In all the right ways.

The party’s just gotten started, but what Natalie and I have… it’s forever.

I just have to convince her of that.

Thor, Hercules and Superman all in one!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 💙💚🖤💜❤️
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📔
World building: 🌎🌍🌏🌎
Character development: ☺️🤬🥵😘

The heroine: Natalie - recently divorced she is on a bachelorette trip to Cancun. She is determined to have a good time and not get into anything serious. Natalie owns her own successful realty business in Santa Barbara.

The Hero(s): Parker - On a trip with a bunch of guys to try to raise the spirits of one of the guys that just lost his job and fiancé in one fell swoop. Parker is a Hollywood stunt man who lives in San Juan Capistrano.

The Story: Parker and Natalie meet at LAX and are seated next to each other on the plane to Cancun. They are immediately taken with each other and spend time getting to know each other in the few days they spend in Cancun.

“The electricity between us could power a city.”

They end up seeing each other once they get home as well. Though Natalie has some hang ups stemming from the fact that she always believed her husband until she found him in bed with someone else. Parker finds that Natalie is “the one” very early on but a former girlfriend tries to get in between them.

I liked the story, I liked that it was set in different places (Cancun, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Barbara, movie sets and more). It is far away from sitting in my house in Minnesota while it is 20 degrees outside. Fun in the sun sounds so good right now.

The narration was perfect. Erin Mallon does a good job and sounds like the perfect age for a thirty-something career woman and Brian Pallino has a nice deep voice which is perfect for the Stunt Man Hero who can lift up the heroine and toss her around into different positions at a moments notice.

Should I keep going? ... LOL

Listen! You guys! This was such a ridiculous feel-good story. From beginning to end. I mean even thru the conflict it was FUN! STOP THIS MADNESS! LOL I’m jumping out of my skin right now because I want to tell all the things to everyone. Like the chemistry between everyone. The sparks between Parker and Natalie were so unassuming, they just sparked like best of best from the start. And this story! So well done! Sometimes, I refer to romance stories as Easy Like Sunday Morning … do you guys feel me with that? That’s this book! I wish I could read it again and re-meet every single person in this book for the first time! I cannot wait for more feel-good shenanigans from this group!

I've read books by this author before and I really enjoy her style of writing and how this author writes.

Natalie and Parker first meet each other when they are at the airport about to get on the same flight and go to the same destination. They are both going on holiday separately with there friends and

Natalie is just getting out of a not so nice relationship and is just going through a divorcee and finds it hard to trust men after her ex husband really hurt her. She has has had enough of relationships and is giving up altogether. She has decided to not take any more crap and be strong for herself and be the woman she wants to be.

Parker is a sexy, hot and beautiful man who knows what he wants and who is looking to just have some fun, but what he didn't expect when he saw her was for them both to have this kind of connection. Parker wants to win her over and try and gain her trust, when they get together they just wanted to have a little bit of fun. Only when its time to leave its actually harder than they both thought it would be. All they wanted was ni atrings fun, however fate steps in and changes there path.
Can they make a long distance relationship work?
( NO SPOILERS).

This book is a great read, the characters are great, this author always writes fantastic characters to. This book gets hot and steamy in parts and the flirty, fun banter that they have between them both is great yo see. There connection is instant a real instant love and there sexual connection is hot. They wasn't expecting any feelings to happen and I found myself really rooting for these two and there love.

I always love books that have epilogue as I always find that it gives the books that something extra special. I enjoyed reading this book and cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

Thank you to the author and publishers for allowing me to read an early copy of this book.

When Natalie and Parker meet and the attraction is instant, they know it's just supposed to be some no strings fun. She's coming out of a divorce from a cheating ex, and Parker just isn't ready for more. But what happens when they can't get each other out of their minds?

While entertaining, I have to admit this story wasn't necessarily one of my favorites because I didn't find Parker and Abbie's connection to be strong outside of the physical. Plus, Parker was really ridiculously stubborn about understanding Abbie's very valid concerns about his relationship with his ex. She had been cheated on previously, so naturally she had issues trusting. Parker's very outside of the boundaries of good sense behavior with Nia was definitely not acceptable and the fact that he refused to understand and agree with Abbie's feelings turned me off him. I liked Abbie, though, and their physical chemistry helped the story along.

4* Stamina Man Stars

I was first introduced to Parker and Natalie in the Anthology Spring Fling and loved their novella and was excited when Leslie decided to write their full story. We are introduced to Parker and Natalie when they are at the airport waiting to board a flight to Cancun each travelling separately with their friends, the boys to celebrate a “break-up” bachelor party and the girls to celebrate a bachelorette party. The banter between Parker and his mates and Natalie and her friends was so flirty and funny. When Parker and Natalie are seated unexpectedly together on the plane, their connection is instant.

Once they all arrive in Cancun it becomes one big weekend of partying and fun. Parker and Natalie were so well suited, and their chemistry was off the charts sexy. Unfortunately, the fun had to end when they departed and went back to their respective cities. Together they have to learn to navigate how to make their long-distance relationship work as Parker is a Stuntman and travels a lot from one location to another and Natalie is very busy in her real estate job. Added to this Natalie has trust issues as she has recently divorced due to infidelity.

I loved how gentle and caring Parker was towards Natalie and how he managed to slowly break down her walls and gain her trust.

The Epilogue was such a fantastic way to end their story and I was smiling and feeling so happy for them.

An ARC was provided, and all opinions are my own.

I am so torn with this book. I wanted to like it but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. It felt rushed. The trip in the beginning felt like it needed more to establish the connection between the two characters. I did like how the long distance thing worked for them. The issues with Natalie’s ex-husband never really seemed to get resolved and Parker’s inability to comprehend how his actions could affect someone was extremely frustrating, especially when he laid the blame at Natalie’s feet. Yes, I think she overreacted but it wasn’t without provocation. The movie aspect was fun.

I did like the couple together and thought they were cute. They had crazy chemistry which translated to some steamy scenes. I liked that they eventually resolved their issues.

Erin Mallon and Brian Pallino were fantastic and suited the characters. Both brought a lot to the story and are probably the reason I enjoyed it as much as I did. The switch from POV and voices was smooth and with no issues.

7 Miles High by Lesile Pike was fun, steamy, and heartfelt story. I loved everything about Natalie and Parker's love story. The romance took my heart on such an emotional rollercoaster ride, and I just adored every bit of it.

The audiobook is narrated by Brian Paulino and Erin Mallon. These two did a great job brining Parker and Natale to life. In Brian's performance you could feel all of Parker's wants, needs, and at times desperation to win Natalie's trust and love. Erin Mallon showcased all of Natalie's vulnerabilities and passions as she learned to trust and give into her desires as she let Parker in and learned to love him for him. Both narrators were just great together!

Overall, I really enjoyed the book and audio! This story pulled at my heart strings, delivered lots of steam, and had a sweet and satisfying HEA. I'm looking forward to more from Leslie Pike!

This was a fun read!
The idea of meeting someone on vacation, making a connection, then having that connection last after returning home is a bit of a fantasy.

I enjoyed getting to know Parker and Natalie and seeing glimpses of the friends they traveled with as well as key characters from some of Ms Pike’s previous books.

The way 7 Mile High unfolded was entertaining, but i struggled a little with the conflict. We only saw bits of Natalie’s history (this is a fairly short read) and that history played a big part in why things between her and Parker hit a snag. I would have loved to see more development around the conflict.

Overall, I liked this story and am curious to see if there are books for the rest of the Cancun crew.

(audiobook) This book was sexy as hell! There are a number of chapters where nothing happens besides intimate scenes. Scorching hot intimate scenes.

But while it isn’t erotica, there isn’t much more than that. I didn’t feel like the characters had depth. They’re defined by their previous relationships and how they ended, and that’s it. I found the side characters more interesting.

Well I may be a bit harsh here. There are a couple of scenes where Natalie and Parker’s interactions are more than just sex, and they’re cute and sweet. Even romantic. But I still couldn’t see the moment where they fell in love.

Narration is good though. Though I didn’t care much for the male narrator, the female one was on point. Her voices for the side characters were great. It’s a short audiobook, so if you want a steamy short listen, this is the one.

Quickie

- Series: Easy street #1 (can be read as a standalone; the first part of the story figured previously in an anthology)
- Hashtags: #spring fling #divorcee #stuntman
- Triggers: alcoholism, accidental death
- Main couple: Natalie Coleman & Parker Dunn
- Hotness: 5/5
- Romance: 3/5
- + steamy scenes are scorching hot, and kind of original
- – I found the end cheesy

What a fun book that was packed with all the feels. I loved the premise of the book starting with a pseudo bachelor party and a bachelorette party and then the characters took it from there. I really felt like I could relate to the characters and their thoughts and actions all while the story had a great flow that made it easy reading.

A Wonderfully Delightful Story & Audible Listen🎧

7 Miles High
Easy Street
By: Leslie Pike
Narrated by: Erin Mallon, Brian Pallino

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it is well written with interesting storylines that are captivating from start to end. The characters are nicely developed, they are realistic and easy to relate to and connect with. The book opens with two different group of friends heading to Cancun, the women are going to celebrate their friend’s bachelorette party and the men were going to do the same but instead it turned into a breakup party for Parker’s brother who just called off his engagement. The goal for the men was a weekend of women and booze and the women’s mantra was “No inhibitions, no attachments” The two groups hit it off before taking flight, while Parker had his eyes on Natalie right from the start he was happy to be seated next to her on the plane. I loved how everything plays out in this book, from the smoking hot vacation fling to the unplanned relationship. Because of her ex-husband Natalie did have trust issues, Parker was patient with her but started to wonder if she would allow herself to love again. This is a fast moving story, it is cleverly plotted and there is never a dull moment, there is drama, some fun humor, heartfelt and emotional moments and some hot romance. Leslie Pike, thank you for another wonderful story.

I listened to the Audible edition, Brian Pallino and Erin Mallon are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They did an awesome job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters emotions and project them into their performance. I adored Erin Mallon’s Natalie, you could hear bother her fierce side and her vulnerable side as well, Brian Pallino’s Parker was awesome too, hot alpha with a whole lot of heart. They were great portraying the secondary roles too. Both are talented and entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this wonderful listen🎧

Natalie and Parker meet at the airport on their way to Cancun. While Natalie and her friends are excited about the bachelorette party, Parker and his buddies are on their way to a “break-up” bachelor party.

Parker and Natalie find themselves seated close by on the plane and their attraction is mutual. The fact that he helps her during some nasty turbulence only endears him to her even more.

As both groups decide to enjoy their time in Cancun together, Parker and Natalie take their connection even further. Their chemistry is palpable and they definitely sizzle, making it difficult when it’s time to leave. Meeting again at Natalie’s friend’s wedding, they decide to give a relationship a try. Things don’t work out so smoothly, though, because Natalie is coming off a bad marriage and she carries trust issues that eventually hinder their relationship. Parker will have to work hard if he wants to win her heart and make her trust him.

Parker is not afraid to go for what he wants and he fights her tooth and nail to make her see reason. Although Natalie seems extremely self-assured, her trust issues where men are concerned are a problem. I felt this made her act somewhat immature when it came to Parker. She fell into her insecurities too quickly and didn’t allow him to defend himself when she thought he’d wronged her. I did enjoy Parker and Natalie’s story, yet I felt an emotional connection was lacking. Their chemistry was off the charts and they could definitely burn the sheets, but the burning, overwhelming sensation two people in love feel even when not in bed together was missing.

That being said, this is a great story that delivered enough sweetness, friendship, and sexy times to keep me entertained. I can’t wait to read about the other friends and what their crazy stories have in store.

4 STARS

7 Miles High is a fun, flirty escape from the craziness of the real world right now and just the book I needed.

Parker and Natalie first meet in the airport on their way to Cancun. Parker is with his buddies and Natalie with her girlfriends celebrating a bachelorette party. Parker was the sweetest during some turbulence that had Natalie freaked out on the flight. His sweetness turns into instant chemistry and they hook up immediately after their first night together. I couldn’t get enough of their flirty & sexy banter.

After their short trip the two have their work cut out for them as long distance relationships are never easy.

My only hang up was Natalie’s trust issues. She had been burned by a previous relationship and she unfairly accused Parker due to her ex’s actions. I found her actions to be on the immature side at times and Parker suffered because of this.

Brian Pallino and Erin Mallon's voices make the perfect Parker and Natalie. Their animated voices bring these characters to life and kept me engaged and listening the whole time.

Overall I loved the story and highly recommend it for those looking for a sweet, sexy read/listen.

7 Miles High
Easy Street
By: Leslie Pike
Narrated by: Erin Mallon, Brian Pallino

Do you believe in fate? After listening to this, I do! Natalie and Parker meet on their way to Cancun. A bumpy flight, a little talking and letting go for the weekend may just be enough to realize their soulmates! Or does it? Natalie has been burned before, so just enjoying each other is enough for her. Parker on the other hand, realizes what he's got. Can he help her to love and trust again? Talk about swoony! Parker is all that and more. He is good looking, considerate and has that warmth about him that grabs you. Natalie is hesitant, and understandably. Their banter is fun and flirty, the story flies by and just makes you feel good. It's one of those books you finish and find yourself smiling.

The narration by the team of Erin Mallon and Brian Pallino is wonderful. Each brings a voice to the characters that fits them perfectly. Mallon brings Natalie to life with her comedic timing and her conversational sound that makes the story so comfortable to listen to. Pallino brings the essence of Parker out with his voice, giving him that understanding tone and that flirty, romantic sound. Loved this team as they read me this one!

This was such a fun, heartwarming and sexy romance! What seemed to start out as a wild, tropical vacation filled with hot, 'no strings' passion, turned out to be so much more. Natalie and Parker meet on a plane headed to Cancun with their friends. They connect instantly and their chemistry is explosive! They can't get enough of each other passionately and are surprised how much they really enjoy each others company. When the weekend is over, Parker doesn't want to let this fun, smart, and sexy woman go. They may live hours apart, but Parker convinces Natalie to give them a chance. Natalie has been burned by her cheating ex husband. She wants to have fun, work on her career, and herself. She isn't looking to jump into a relationship. But Parker is charming, confident, and protective, a killer combination she can't resist. But what happens when time and distance are hard to overcome at times. Can their love survive when old insecurities and trust issues come between them? Ms. Pike did a great job portraying life with all it's complications, joy, heartbreak, and pleasure. I loved all the authentic emotions she made me feel in this sexy story of hope, healing, and finding true love.
I loved the performances by narrators Erin Mallon, and Brian Pallino . They portray each character with a perfect balance between fun & flirty, heartbreaking emotion, and sizzling passion flawlessly. They work so well together, conveying so much emotion in their performances, that they make this entertaining, and sizzling romance even more captivating.

7 Miles High by Leslie Pike is a contemporary romance told in first person, dual POV.

Parker and Natalie first meet at the airport before boarding a flight to Cancun as each are traveling with a group of friends. The guys are celebrating a bachelor party for a cancelled wedding. The girls are celebrating a bachelorette party and are ready for a wild, raunchy time. When Natalie and Parker are seated next to each other on the flight, they immediately hit it off. They enjoy Cancun together and decide to navigate a long distance relationship. But it's not easy, especially when there are trust issues to overcome. Can they make it work? Read the book to find out.

I enjoyed Parker and Natalie's story. It was fun, flirty, and smutty. I enjoyed both Parker and Natalie as characters, but their connection seemed to lack depth as it was mostly based on their physical attraction and sexual connection. Maybe it's because I just finished and loved The Swift Series, but I was just hoping for more emotionally. Overall it's a quick, fun, raunchy read.

7 Miles High was my first Leslie Pike read and I'm so happy this is the start of a series!

I love the way the story started out with both groups headed out of town--the girls for a bachelorette party and the guys for a wedding that was called off. 7 Miles High is Natalie and Parker's story and what a great couple to start out with. The chemistry between the two of them is strong and the sexual energy is even stronger. Whoa! Those two were super hot for each other!

Pike didn't hold back with the steam--not one bit. I sometimes find that stories can be a turn-off when there's an over abundance of sex, but not this time. I loved that they were sexually connected and couldn't get enough of one another.

Overall, I think this is going to be a great series. I connected with the characters and the author's style of writing is easy to follow. The story itself was a great escape that was fun and enjoyable. The added inner dialogue was a plus too, knowing what the two of them were thinking.

If you're new to this author like I was, then I certainly recommend starting out with this story!

I have been needing more of these two ever since reading their story in the Spring Fling Anthology. Thank you thank you Leslie for delivering!!
I was instantly hooked from the beginning with Parker and his friends fun banter. I enjoyed getting a peak into all the friends and their fun times together. As for our leads Parker and Natalie, phew their chemistry is off the charts! I love how hooked Parker was at first sight of Natalie, and they fit so well together right away. His protectiveness, and over all charisma was everything! He absolutely had me swooning over him, and woah baby he does not disappoint in the bedroom! Natalie had been hurt before which leads to some trust issues along their way, but once again Parkers determination is to be admired. There relationship is long distance and it was fun to see them bounce back and forth, and I really enjoyed hearing from several past characters on Leslie's in the stuntman and acting field. Catching up with them is always fun and the glimpse into that world is so fun!!
I definitely recommend this book

What a super sexy light read. More lust at first sight, rather than love at first sight between Parker and Natalie (neither want commitment, only some short term fun). Of course that all goes out the window when they discover they actually like each other, have a connection and are so so compatible in the bedroom. A girls hen do meets a lads ‘anti’ bachelor party at the airport enroute to Cancun, and what a fab bunch they all are. Fun and frolics on the beach, in the bar and most definitely in the bedroom. It would appear though, that Parker and Natalie need more than just a few days, and herein starts a relationship of sorts. Can Natalie get past her trust issues though? Oh, and did I mention that Parker is a stunt double in action movies, he’s also super sexy, and he’s an all round good guy. I loved him. A sweet, addictive romance narrated perfectly by Erin Mallon (who I love) and Brian Pallino (new to me narrator, and believe me, I need to listen to more of his sexy rumble). Highly enjoyable, easy read, I’ll definitely be reading more Leslie Pike books.

Natalie’s trip to Cancun with her friends for a bachelorette party couldn’t have come at a better time as she is trying to heal from her divorce to her cheating ex so some fun in the sun is exactly what she needs. Parker is headed to Cancun as well for what was supposed to be a bachelor party so even if the wedding is off that doesn’t mean the party is.

When Natalie and Parker become seatmates the chemistry and connections extends to Cancun. When their trip comes to an end will they realize that all they will have is a fling or is it strong enough to overcome the obstacles between them and will it be the start of forever?

Parker is the perfect combination of sweet and sexy as he was so understanding with Natalie about her past and they shared a hot chemistry and witty banter.

This is a beautiful romance book where two strangers meet in an airport. Natalie is a self-assured woman that is redefining who she is, while, Parker is a charismatic stuntman who knows what he wants. I love the instant chemistry and interaction the characters have with each other. I also found that their friends were hilarious and great support systems. I'm really hoping their friends get books too!
Every woman has their hang-ups, and Natalie is no different. After her husband cheats on her, she finds it hard to trust. Parker is a typical man and is oblivious to how specific actions may make a woman feel untrustworthy, no matter how altruistic it may seem. This is a delightful read, perfect for a hot summer day at the beach!

This is a cute, fun read about two people who only had the intention of a fun, sexy, and free, vacation with no attachment, but end up not wanting to let each other go. Natalie is just getting out of a bad marriage and has a hard time with trust when she meets Parker at the airport when they are heading towards the same destination. After a hot and heavy weekend (and I mean hot the sexy time scenes were crazy hot) she decides to leave that weekend behind her, until Parker shows up again. These two have some incredible chemistry and this really is an insta love, soul mate kind of story. Lots of love to go around in this book.

I have to be honest. This book was just okay for me. The writing was fine. The narrators did an awesome job. (I listened to this book on audio). The issue I had was that there was just nothing the characters were working toward. No real overall story problem. Nothing for me to feel invested in by continuing to listen to this book. It was just a sequence of scenes strung together mimicking a story.
The characters jumped into bed right away before I was even invested in the characters. I needed to feel something for the relationship before I rooted for them to have sex. It was disappointing. There just wasn’t any real character growth in my opinion. Natalie has trust issues because of her past, but I just didn’t see either of the characters grow much throughout the story.

Parker and Natalie meet on a harrowing flight and end up having a fling but it becomes so much more. I really liked their flirty banter and they had great chemistry. Natalie annoyed me after a while though- it was a shorter book but most of the book, she was dealing with her past and behaving pretty irrationally, punishing Parker for her past but this is silly given how wonderful Parker is. However, together, when things were good, these two made me smile a lot.

I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Erin Mallon and Brian Pallino. Excellent narration (I miss Brian’s narrations) and an elevation of the story as a whole. I’m happy to have listened to this book since the narration was so great.
