Violence

Olin Caprison (AKA Palmtrees Caprisun) is a performance artist, composer, musician and producer who first made a splash on on Total Freedom's Blasting Voice compilation back in 2012, following a few releases on smaller netlabels. Last year, Caprison helped kick off Mykki Blanco's Dogfood Music Group label as a key part of the C-ORE compilation. A Ruse Of Power is their first solo album proper, and it sees Caprison moving to NON, a pan-continental collective of artists from the African diaspora led by Chino Amobi.

"There's an established narrative and narratives that live on the outskirts, inhabiting the shadows of monuments all over the world," says Caprison. "I try to move through these various narratives, various truths and bring some syncretism, and light, to the hidden places whilst simultaneously working my own personal narrative into the mix."

Object Blue

Originally from Beijing/Tokyo and now based in London, Object Blue makes a mix of experimental and techno, often performing them live.

"London’s Object Blue has only released a handful of tracks (including one that featured on Machine Woman’s excellent FACT mix from 2017), but she’s already gaining a reputation for her live sets, which sound like a collision of trippy wormhole techno, bass-heavy UK sounds and wonky rhythms. It’s experimental club music that doesn’t forget to make you move. Expect EPs from her on Let’s Go Swimming and Tobago Tracks later this year."FACT

Organ Tapes & Yayoyanoh

Through crews like Bala Club and Tobago Tracks, Tim Zha has close connections to the experimental club scene, but he makes bedroom hip-hop with sing-songy mumbles that should be familiar to anyone who had a downtrodden teenage phase. If there's anything that Zha shares with emo rappers like Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Peep, it's the ability to make music that feels both DIY and polished. His autotuned mushmouth means that only half of his lyrics are intelligible, but his melodies drip with feeling. You don't have to understand everything on "Di Qiu," which features the sound of something like a Mellotron, nor do you need to decipher the lyrics on the tropical "Li Bu Kai." Yayoyanoh is a familiar name in London’s underground electronic music scenes, yet an elusive presence. The rapper and vocalist has appeared as a featured artist on tracks with Strict Face, Orlando, and Woesum, but he hadn’t made his mark as a solo artist – until now. Yayo recently released his debut EP, EP001, with Bala Club, the UK-based record label and collective whose members include future-facing DJ/producers like Kamixlo and Endgame.

Elvin Brandhi

Elvin brandhi is an improvising lyricist, producer and sound artist from Bridgend, Wales making auto-tune blast beats from field recordings, tapes, instruments and voice. Live shows are unyielding bursts of erupting animation where her caustic stream of consciousness cavorts with restless, glitched out heaviness.

Her first E.P ‘Shelf life’ was released on ‘C.A.N.V.A.S’ in 2018. She one half of father / daughter noise-improv berserkers Yeah You who released on Alter, Slip, Opal, Psychik Dancehall and Good Food.
