Some have asked and many have wondered why I suddenly and unexpectedly resigned from my position as Industry Representative on the CVAA Board of Directors.  Some may be hoping for a tale filled with deceit and fighting worthy of gaining a place on a bestsellers list...fortunately that is not the case here.

Life has a way of throwing curve balls when you least expect or anticipate them.  As a Registered Nurse, I am acutely aware life is capable of changing in an instant.  My life changing event occurred on October 30, 2017, when I experienced SCAD - Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection which subsequently resulted in a STEMI, a long recovery, adjustment to a handful of medications, and the need for me to re-evaluate and prioritize my life.

My decision to resign from the CVAA BOD was not easy.  I have thoroughly enjoyed the past three years and looked forward to completing my term and supporting the Board for the rest of 2018.  My desire to continue was overshadowed by my need to do what is right not only for the BOD but also for the CVAA membership who expect and deserve a highly functional Board of Directors.

I look forward to seeing many familiar faces at the national conference in Toronto this year and chapter events.

For those who are interested in learning more, you can do so here.

Thank you for your time,
Michelle DaGloria, RN, CVAA(C)
