ABSTRACT

Management is the sixth and last of all the phases in a strategic design process. It is about how the business can manage, control, and operate the assets created through a design project. Design templates and design manuals are necessary for ensuring the proper use of the design. Consistent design use helps build recognition, position, reputation, and proprietary brand. A brand represents an intangible asset, which, in contrast to tangible assets, is not so concrete and is difficult to evaluate. It is an asset that must be protected legally to avoid plagiarism. In addition, a brand is something that needs to be managed and developed in the long term, so that it retains its relevance and value. Sustainability management is a responsibility of both the company and the designer. That means incorporating the environmental and social costs of doing business into management and design decisions and focusing on long-term instead of short-term gains. Phase 3 includes chapters on intangible assets, legal protection, design management, effect measurement, design manual, design templates, operating manual, further development and sustainability management.
