Registering

I have been using featool for a bit but realised I was on the trial version (1.13 and build number 20.10.299), and when I tried to enter the registration code it comes up with error code IER = 210.

How can I get past this error code to register the correct licence?

To register a license for a computer system you first need a *valid* registration token (which you would automatically receive after completing the purchase from https://www.featool.com/purchase )?

Also note that registration tokens are only valid *one-time*, and can therefore only register a single system once.

The software downloaded was a multiuser version and the other user said that the license had been installed into just his user profile, which is odd for a multiuser program. Can the license just be copied over into my user profile?

Licenses are locked to each individual computer system for which a license key is generated by using a single-use registration token.

If you use the *same computer*, then yes, you can just copy the "license.dat" file located in "%USERPROFILE%/Documents/MATLAB/.featool" folder to your own corresponding directory.

Re: Registering

G

I have now sorted it by copying the license over into my user profile!

Thank you for all your help!

If I understand correctly you are affiliated with Reading University. I was contacted last year about purchasing a multi-seat license, but it was not followed through upon. Instead a single seat license was purchased online later.

If this is incorrect, please have the licensed user get in touch with license and purchase information either via email or use the online contact form https://www.precisesimulation.com#contact
