RH Be Heard

Report your concern, resolve your complaint, challenge misconduct.

RH Be Heard is a way for you to report issues in one place, through one simple online form.

Universities can be complex communities, and it’s sometimes difficult to know who to contact when you need something resolving. Whether you have a concern, need to resolve complaint, or report misconduct that you experience or witness, RH Be Heard makes sure that we can help. Reporting through RH Be Heard means that your question or complaint will be directed to the right team, first time.

If the incident is taking place now and you need emergency help

If you are on campus, College Security operates, and is contactable, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for your protection. If there is an emergency on campus please call the Security Control Centre.

If you are not on campus and are still at risk, call the police immediately on 999.

If you want to submit a named report

Bullying, harassment, sexual harassment, assault, hate crime and discrimination are not acceptable, wherever, and however they occur.

We, the Royal Holloway community, are committed to stamping out all forms of unacceptable conduct.

If you have experienced an incident of sexual harassment / assault, discrimination or a hate crime, we are here to support you. RH Be Heard helps us in supporting you and resolving these issues.

If you submit a named report we'll direct your concern to the right team who will let you know we've received the message, advise you on what the next steps are, provide updates and support you through the process.

If you want to submit an anonymous report

RH Be Heard also provides a way to report what has happened to you if you want to remain anonymous.

We take this kind of complaint very seriously and encourage you to report inappropriate behaviour of any kind from staff, students or members of the community, including harassment, bullying, discrimination and sexual misconduct.

We understand that formally reporting an incident is not something that everyone wishes to do; it can take time and energy, and sometimes includes sharing very personal information. Therefore, this option enables you to anonymously record this type of behaviour. The information you provide will be collated and analysed to help monitor the incidents that take place, identify any patterns, direct resources to areas where there may be problems and plan interventions and initiatives as required.
