2019 - Appeared and started eleven games at wide receiver for the Lions while also being a part of the all-star teams... Finished the season with 43 receptions to go along with 706 receiving yards, two touchdowns and a season long reception of 60 yards while being named Honorable Mention by the MIAA as a wide receiver… Had three games of over 100 yards receiving… Caught a season high ten passes in the game against Washburn (Oct. 19) to go along with 157 yards and his season long of a 60 yard reception to go along with recording a safety on the all-star team… In the game against #17 Central Missouri (Oct. 5) had eight receptions for 116 yards scoring twice as two other Lions also eclipsed 100 yards receiving in the game…

Prior to Southern - Boyd comes to Southern after two years at Garden City CC where he played for Lions coach Jeff Sims ... At GCCC, Sims saw action in eight games in the 2018 season with 14 receptions and 181 yards ... Prior to GCCC, Boyd prepped at Lafayette High School in St. Louis.

Personal - Brian is the son of Denice Pickett and Brian Boyd Sr. and plans to major in marketing at Southern.
