Taxonomic Expertise UK Invertebrates - the Darwin Tree of Life project
The Darwin Tree of Life project (darwintreeoflife.org) will eventually sequence the DNA of all described eukaryotic species in the UK, but this relies heavily on the community of taxonomic experts in the UK. This survey is built to capture the taxonomic expertise of TERRESTRIAL, FRESHWATER and MARINE invertebrates across the United Kingdom, and also to highlight potential gaps in taxonomic knowledge of UK fauna. Please let us know your area of expertise, listing more than one taxonomic group if appropriate.

In the coming year we will be holding numerous Bioblitz events around the UK and would like to keep you informed in case you would like to join. We will collate all responses, and only contact you regarding field trip events, live species lists and obtaining specimens. Thank you for participating.

Any comments?
This is one of the first community consultation efforts for DToL. We are working on effective ways to communicate the progress of species collection and sequencing, so please bear with us while we get that up and running. Species with sequencing underway will be visible at the darwintreeoflife.org website by the end of 2020. Thank you for participating in this survey and please ensure you press the "submit" button below.
