Queer STEMM Champions Competition Entry Form
Queer STEMM Champions is a competition run by PRISM to celebrate diversity and inclusion during LGBT History Month in the UK. We are challenging students and apprentices aged 16+ to champion an LGBTQIA+ individual whose work has contributed to our understanding of Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics or Medicine (STEMM).
Following the celebration of mathematician Alan Turing in recent years, including the posthumous pardon for his criminal conviction for homosexuality, entrants are specifically challenged to champion a less well-known LGBTQIA+ individual.
The winners will be chosen by PRISM coordinators, each of whom work in Exeter's STEMM sector. The winning entrants will be invited to give a 10-15 minute presentation on their chosen individual. This event will take place at the University of Exeter on the evening of February 26th 2020.
Please note that the closing date for entries is January 31st 2020.
Winners will be notified via email no later than February 12th 2020.
