Lebanon and Hungary enjoy robust relations which are continuing to grow and expand. Throughout my mandate in Hungary, I will endeavour to boost our bilateral relations further, opening new avenues of cooperation at all levels, political, economic, cultural and social.
My objectives include the promotion of the image of Lebanon as a role model of tolerance and plurality, a message, where a number of communities coexist in full respect of our motto “Unity within Diversity”.
It is also a privilege for me to serve the Lebanese residing or traveling through Hungary. Indeed, our strength as a nation lies in the existence of a dynamic and highly qualified Diaspora which is represented in Hungary, and has been contributing to the development and prosperity of Lebanon and its host country Hungary.

To conclude, it is often said that culture is the best tool for friendship. Therefore, allow me to refer to an enduring bond between Lebanon and Hungary which is the legacy of the Hungarian painter Tivadar Kosztka Csontváry who immortalized the Lebanese cedar with multiple paintings or the Lebanese Mikhail Fadlullah Haddad, who transformed the Hungarian city of Bábolna into the most important center for the hybridization of Arab horses in Europe.
With this in mind, I call on you, friends of Lebanon, to work together to enhance the partnership opportunities that exist between our countries, and I look forward to listening to your proposals and answering your queries.
