Dr Samah Jabr is Head of Mental Health at the Ministry of Health, Palestinian National Authority. She provides leadership on

• The development and the implementation of the national mental health strategy
• The development of regulations governing mental health
• The coordination of different roles in service provision between various agencies (within the Ministries; local and international NGOs)
• Advancing mental health as a public health issue within the National Health Strategy

Dr Jabr is also a Clinical Assistant Professor, Division of Global Psychiatry, George Washington University, Washington, D.C, and is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist.
