Find out if you're affected by road, parking or footpath closures

This page outlines the traffic and footpath restrictions which will be in operation to help the Lumiere festival run smoothly for everyone. Find out how you might be affected so you can plan any journeys in advance.

Thank you for your patience and support during Lumiere - we're aware that some of these closures are likely to cause delays.

If you're travelling to Lumiere, the best option is to use our Lumiere Park and Ride or travel by bus or train.

Detailed list of road and footpath closures

See the detailed road and footpath closures within the city centre in the map below.

Please note: Sutton Street in the Viaduct area of the city will be restricted to resident access only to allow public transport pick up and drop off.

Resident, business or staying overnight?

If you're a resident or business in the City you will have received a letter outlining the arrangements in place for the festival. There will be no vehicle access when a closure is in place so you'll need to ensure you've made alternative arrangements where required.

If you're a visitor, staying overnight, your accommodation should advise you of any effects from the restrictions.

Please note some closures take place while artworks are being constructed or dismantled.
