Making a positive difference

We’re Keep Wales Tidy – the charity working across Wales to protect our environment for now and for the future.

We have a collective vision of a beautiful Wales cared for and enjoyed by everybody.

Practically, we know that a good quality environment matters to people and that the benefits can make a real difference to our health, well-being, communities and to our economy.

And as an added bonus it is great for nature too.

What we do

Our work ranges far and wide – from practical action and environmental education, to setting standards for parks and beaches.

Eradicating litter and waste
caru cymru to eradicate waste

Caru Cymru (a Welsh phrase meaning ‘Love Wales’) is our national initiative to eradicate litter and waste. We are working with communities and local authority partners to keep our local environment cleaner and safer.

Empowering young people

Today’s young people are tomorrow’s policy makers, business owners and consumers. We are educating and empowering young people to make positive changes in their schools, homes and communities.

Creating and restoring green space

We are supporting people to create and care for local green spaces, benefiting health and wellbeing, providing a haven for wildlife and feeding into the wider global effort to combat the climate emergency.

Setting standards for environmental quality

Environmental quality sits at the core of our purpose. We help set the standards high for green spaces, beaches, marinas and tourism in Wales through our range of international awards.
