De investeringscijfers voor 2023 zijn bekend! In Vlaanderen verwelkomen we 265 nieuwe investeringsprojecten, goed voor een indrukwekkend bedrag van €4,92 miljard en de creatie van 4.596 banen. Dit vormt het derde hoogste investeringsniveau ooit. Ondanks het uitdagende internationale economische klimaat blijven buitenlandse investeringen standhouden. Dit succes is te danken aan de veerkracht van ons ecosysteem, hoogwaardige arbeidskrachten, innovatieve bedrijven en onze strategische ligging. Buitenlandse bedrijven investeren vooral in innovatieve oplossingen, energietransitie, farma, chemie en cleantech. “Vlaanderen blijft een sterk merk voor buitenlandse investeerders. De verwachte terugval door de Amerikaanse IRA en globale economische context vond plaats, maar werd grotendeels opgevangen door heel wat nieuwe investeringen, veel daarvan uit Europa", zegt Joy Donné, CEO van Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT).
