Leiza Brumat

Visiting Fellow
Leiza Brumat is a Visiting Fellow at the Migration Policy Centre where she works on international and regional migration governance. Before joining the MPC she was a lecturer in International Relations, Regional Integration and International Organizations and a Research Fellow for the National Council of Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) of Argentina. She was awarded a PhD in Social Sciences by Flacso–Argentina with a thesis on migration policies and the free movement of persons in Mercosur. Leiza was a visiting scholar at the Università di Bologna and visiting researcher at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. She has been consultant for various international organizations including the IOM and Mercosur. Leiza writes Op-Eds for some of the main newspapers in Latin America including Clarín and Folha di Sao Paulo.
