Student Conference on Conservation Science

This year’s SCCS conference will run from Tuesday 26 to Thursday 28 March 2024.  The full programme for the conference is available here.

We will have 32 talks from students and early career researchers over the three days on the following themes:

  • Understanding and managing drivers of change
  • Conserving charismatic species
  • Ecology and resilience
  • Conservation in human-dominated landscapes
  • New insights in reptile conservation
  • From degradation to recovery
  • Interactions between biodiversity and people
  • New methods in conservation science

The Student Conference on Conservation Science series in Cambridge, Australia, Beijing, Bangalore, New York and Hungary is the only international series of conservation conferences aimed entirely at students.

SCCS helps early career conservation scientists gain experience, learn new ideas and make contacts that will be valuable for their future careers.
