Who I am

Mathematician, Writer, Feminist

I do freelance science and math writing, academic manuscript editing and speaking. Some of my recent clients are: The Simons Foundation, UNC Charlotte , UNC Greensboro, Simons Laufer Mathematical Sciences Institute . In summer 2018, I wrote science articles for the Raleigh News & Observer as a AAAS Mass Media Fellow. For the next two years, I covered health care in Charlotte for North Carolina Health News, before the pandemic changed my career plans. I have a Ph.D. in mathematics from University of Illinois in Chicago.
