Beth

In a creative access location, Beth* has the joy of reaching out to many with the love of Jesus through her growing understanding of the local language and culture.

Through the business that she is a part of, she also gets to meet and interact in English with a wide range of different people: young and old, student and professional, men and women. As a woman she has many wonderful opportunities to share with other women of the wonderful hope she has in Jesus and some have even accepted copies of the Word to read for themselves. God is growing his church!

Could you partner with Beth in this work?

Kay* leads a medical team in the Indian Ocean Islands. Pray for a lady she is getting to know called Holly*, who used to be a believer but fell away due to the religious persecution she was experiencing. She declined an invitation to meet together and watch The Jesus Film with Kay and some friends at Easter but said that she still believes in her heart. Pray that God will provide more opportunities for Kay to talk with and support her in her faith and that God will draw her back to Him and to fellowship with the local body of believers.

Ruth* works on an Indian Ocean Island seeking to share the gospel with people who have never had it explained to them. This weekend she and the local church plan to host a church picnic at the beach. Due to poor weather conditions, this was called off last week so please pray that the weather and other factors will enable it to go ahead. Pray that this will be an encouraging time of fellowship. Please also pray for favourable dispositions for those in authority whom Ruth is reliant upon to renew her visa this month. Pray that this process will be smooth, and her visa will be renewed without hindrance.

Ruth* works on an Indian Ocean Island seeking to share the gospel with people who have never had it explained to them. In her culture’s context, being an unmarried woman past your twenties is deemed very shameful. One of Ruth’s colleagues actually wept when learning that Ruth is single. Give thanks that Ruth is content in her singleness and that this has enabled her to explain her spiritual relationship with Jesus, made possible through Christ’s death and resurrection. Pray that Ruth will continue to treasure her Lord in times of loneliness or perceived shame in her community and that the joy of a relationship with Jesus will be attractive to her friends.

In the short time Rae has known her she’s seen Sarah get married and divorced. She has sought the teachings of her culture’s religion to find healing from the pain and brokenness she’s experienced. Pray that Jesus will show Himself to her as the only true source of eternal healing and that she will accept Him as her loving saviour.

Amelia* serves in West Africa, sharing the gospel with those in a region that is very opposed to the message of Jesus Christ. Give thanks that she has enjoyed progress in her language learning and knowledge of local culture. Pray that she will have more opportunities to meet and befriend local women who will be sympathetic to her limited local language skills but who will be happy to get to know her and meet with her more regularly.

Creative Access

We use ‘Creative Access’ to refer to nations, areas or ministries where there is great hostility towards Christianity and where traditional ‘missionary work’ is not possible. Workers, therefore, need to be ‘creative’ in how they proclaim the liberating news of Jesus Christ. In North Africa alone, 200 million people from 472 unreached people groups are unreached with the gospel. That’s 200 million people unknowingly heading for a Christ-less eternity. LEARN MORE

Outreach & Evangelism

We long to let all Africa's people know that they can have life, in all its fullness, for comfort rather than being in fear of breaking taboos or working to earn favour in the eyes of their gods. LEARN MORE
