Problem when ms_dir is set, madevent stops

did you set the ms_dir option to "./"
if so this will likely conflict with your madevent directory.
you should assign this to a non existing directory (the first time) and then point to that one the second time you want to use the same madspin setup.

No I set it to a test directory with a dummy name 'here' which doesn't exist.

"set ms_dir here"

Looks like the max_weight is not reused in this mode but this typically does not take that much time anyway. I'm looking if this is easy to add or not.
