Objectives

Is able to understand how we evolved to contemporary HRM
Is able to describe the place and role of HR in an organization, and acknowledges the added value of a strategic framework
Is able to describe the impact of values, culture and leadership on an organization and its people
Is able to determine the different leadership types, and knows what type fits the situation
Is able to describe the impact and importance of an employer brand for an organization
Is able to describe the impact and importance of a job description and competency profile for an organization
Is able to link the different leadership types to the organizational structure
Is able to describe how changes in the organization can have an impact on the relationships with the social partner organizations
Is able to develop a recruitment and selection policy for an SME that is in line with the HR strategy
Is able to give an overview, and describe the importance of the different phases in the staffing process
Is able to optimize the integration and socialization process for new employees
Is able to reflect on a meaningful policy with regard to retention, motivation, engagement, competency and performance management and development
