Exciting Senior Nursing (MATRON) Opportunity

The Planned Care Group provides services at five hospital sites with a total 38,500-day case/in patient episodes of care together with outpatient activity of 300,000. This is our largest Care Group and sits at the heart of our organisation as we work to sustain our financial delivery and modernise the way we work from a business and management point of view. The Care Group is led by the Care Group Director supported by and working in partnership with the Care Group's Director of Operations, Director of Nursing, Director of Finance and People & Change Manger.

We are looking to recruit an experienced, talented and ambitious Matron for BCC as we continue to build on our reputation for delivering high quality, well-led services in a hospital that is rated as "GOOD" by the CQC.

Main duties of the job

You will work directly with the Clinical Director, Lead Cancer Nurse and Directorate manager as well as nursing, allied health professionals and administrative teams- giving you direct control of all processes relating to patient pathway management. You will lead nursing teams working on the inpatient ward (Adelaide), our 3 chemotherapy units, outpatient department and a team of 30 clinical nurse specialists. This is a challenging role with an accent on delivering both local and national standards within the speciality.
