What is the environmental impact of everyday items? This thought-provoking talk by Professor Colin Fitzpatrick will examine the lifecycle of a smartphone and go on a global journey covering issues such as mining, manufacturing, obsolescence and e-waste. It will consider ways in which both producers and consumers can work to reduce the environmental impacts of these fascinating devices.
