Justifying Jamie: An Angsty Second Chance Romance (Reason to Ruin Book 1) Kindle Edition
The next night, his whispered promises made me fall in love.
And then without speaking a word, Jamie Cooper broke my heart.
It wasn’t until he humiliated me beyond repair that I finally accepted the end of us.
But then a life-altering discovery puts me on his doorstep, and the man I thought would never stand at my side was the one who refused to leave it.

About the author

The first time Anna read a romance novel, she leaned over a candle to sneak a peek at her mom’s Harlequin. She only got a few sentences in before her hair caught on fire, and her love of happily ever afters began.
Anna was born in Wisconsin but currently lives in Texas. She is the proud wife of a retired Coastie and an even prouder mother to two amazing sons.
When she’s not writing, you can find her doing a puzzle, watching reruns of her favorite rom-coms, or attempting to stay in shape by walking her rescue dogs.
She loves to hear from readers and can be found on social media at @annabrooksauth everywhere, or you can contact her from her website.

First things first, YOU NEED TO FIX L&M! FIX. THEM!
I really enjoyed Mercy and Jamie’s story, and all of the ups and downs that went with them.
Jamie didn’t have a whole family unit growing up, where as Mercy had it, but it wasn’t the perfect family.
They meet one night out and Mercy didn’t fall for his cheesy pickup lines, but they did fall into bed together. I love a great story in which there’s that instant connection, and it like this for these two from the beginning. I loved their banter back and forth!!
Just one thing after another happens as to why they haven’t connected with one another over 3 years. AND THEN IT HAPPENS!!
Boy, was that an explosion waiting to happen, and not in the good way either.
Talk about a small world, and who they both know. WOW! I loved all the twists and turns, and how you didn’t know what was going to happen on the next page!
Charity, her sister isn’t putting up with any of Jamie’s shenanigans, and wants her to walk away from him.
Oh, I loved that they were in Kentucky! It’s where I’m from!
Can Mercy just walk away?
Can she sign the papers in time before someone else comes into her life?
Will Jamie get the truth as to what really happened that night?
My fave quote from the book:
As long as I can call you mine, nothing else matters. - SWOON MOMENT! UGH Jamie! I can’t!

Mercy is a nurse, who dreams of love and happy families but doubts she will ever find it.
And boom!! These two meet in such an unexpected way and right away the chemistry and emotion grips you right into their angsty, twisty turning path of a roller coaster ride to LOVE!!
This isn't a particularly sweet swoony love story, its raw, it hurts and it totally captivates you. I don't want to give too much away, because all is not as it seems!!
This book at times had me all sorts of messed up!! From out loud giggling, to swooning to tears. The relationships with the band members warmed my heart, definitely a band of brothers, but you always get one bad apple right? Not only do you fall in love with Jamie and Mercy, you become just as involved with all the others involved in their life!!
Mercy had her own issues with family, and her own self confidence but i loved her!! We get a story that we can throw ourselves right into. Raw, gritty and intense!! I loved it!!
Now though, i'm left with needing more from this author and these characters!!! Especially Liam, Meara and Linc!!! I'll deffo be watching out for more !!!!

Here is a book written with the all-necessary readers in mind. Both technical and creative aspects have been dealt due diligence and respect for the art form.
Terrific, multifaceted characters and premise, properly edited and presented as is correct. I'm impressed.
Highly recommended! Try it.
