I’m about to retire as a Breast surgeon. Over the years I have known many women who have lost their hair following chemotherapy and they have faced it with great fortitude.
I’m not suggesting that a voluntary shave is in any way equivalent, I’ve not just received a serious diagnosis, had an operation, and suffered the other side effects of chemotherapy.
This is just a mark of my respect and solidarity.
