Breast Cancer Now Nursing Conference

Join us for our brand-new nursing conference, the first in a new series of events for healthcare professionals. 

This one-day event is an opportunity for you to hear about some of the most exciting clinical developments in both primary and secondary breast cancer. It’s also our chance to show our support and thanks to our nursing members.

You’ll hear from expert speakers on topics such as triple negative breast cancer and invasive lobular cancer. And the breakout sessions will allow you to hear about best practice and network with your peers from across the UK.

Facilitated by our clinical nurse specialists, our healthcare professional webinars are designed to support your practice and development.

Sessions are free to join and run for an hour. They include expert speakers covering a range of topics on breast cancer, treatments, side effect management and new developments. 

Participation certificates for your NMC revalidation are available following each webinar.

Please note our webinars are only open to healthcare professionals in UK practice. This is because the information we share, produce and        collaborate on is all based on UK clinical practice and guidelines. 

 

Breast Cancer Pathology

5 June 2024, 7pm I Online webinar

In this webinar, Professor Sarah Pinder will describe how, and why, histopathologists handle and report breast cancer cases including prognostic factors, such as histological grade and type. She will also update on predictive factors (such as ER and HER2) used for treatment recommendations.

The Association of Breast Surgery looks forward to welcoming its members and delegates to Bournemouth in May.

The programme for the two-day conference will provide research updates, cover topics on breast surgery and include nursing sessions with submitted papers.

Oncology Professional Care

Oncology Professional Care aims to foster collaboration and encourages delegates to gain a holistic view of the patient's cancer journey. The conference will deliver free CPD certified education for healthcare and clinical professionals with a programme focus on cutting edge developments in cancer treatments and shaping the future of patient experience.

Our CNS Cassie will be holding a session on the challenges of personalised care in breast cancer. Cassie will look at the follow up pathway, highlight the NICE guidelines, personalised care recommendations and the challenges of delivering this.

Parenting with Cancer Conference

Organised by the Fruit Fly Collective, this is the first ever 'Parenting with Cancer' conference and is an opportunity to learn about the specific needs that surround a parent living with cancer. Expect expert talks, parent voices, and a community rich environment. The agenda includes talking to children about cancer, and how to support children emotionally and practically.
