The Dissertation Fair is a free event that brings together students and information professionals. Staff from a variety of archives, libraries and museums in Cambridge come together to showcase their collections in one space. 

The 2024 fair took place on Friday 8th March 2024, 11am-4pm, at Elena Hall, Jesus College. You can find a list of all the collections which were represented here. Do check out our Twitter and Instagram pages for more information about the next fair which will be held in 2025.

What is the Cambridge Dissertation and Research fair? The fair is a chance to come along to learn more about using primary sources in your research, find out about the collections available in Cambridge, and ask archive staff any questions you might have. Cambridge holds an extraordinary breadth and depth of archives across Colleges, the University Library, Museums, Special Repositories and the County Archives Service that could be useful to your research.

I can’t make the fair, what other help is there? There are also some resources available on this website to help you discover archives throughout the year – we have a list of collections in Cambridge, which will direct you to more information about each repository, and some basic guidance on finding collections and making the most of an archive visit.
