Community Youth Services is made up of several youth engagement services that seek to support young people where they are at. We are community based enabling youth provisions to be directly delivered in communities.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and well organised Opportunities Development Officer to work with local businesses, employers, and colleagues in SCC departments such as education, lifelong learning and skills. This role will be a core function within the IAG service ensuring access to all appropriate opportunities and support to the most vulnerable and at-risk young people to avoid becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET).
This role will have proactive responsibility to ‘go and find’ opportunities across the city to enable young people to reduce their Risk of NEET status. Applicants will have a good understanding of the youth employment and training landscape in the city.
