Tenants and Resident's Association newsletter

Dear TRA Committee Member,

Welcome to our TRA Newsletter. You will find information on a range of topics including an update on the end of lockdown, vaccine walk in clinics, proposed North Area community hub, and educational opportunities.

Covid-19 update

Lockdown restrictions will end on Monday 19 July, which means there will no longer be any legal limitations on holding events in your community spaces.

We know that you are all keen to start gathering with each other once again, however we encourage you to be mindful of the situation in your local area and vaccination rates when deciding on whether and how to host events.

The legal restrictions are being lifted, but you can decide for yourselves what guidelines you want in place for use of your facilities such as the use of face masks or continuing social distancing. You should refer to public health advice when determining any safety protocols.

Additionally, we would ask that everyone continue to take part in any surge testing as and when necessary.

North Area Community Hub consultation

With the changing ways of working and a need to localise services, we are looking to convert our existing North Area Housing Office into a Local Community Hub that allows residents to access a variety of services, advice and support in one location.

Services could include housing, mental health, housing legal advice, homelessness, debt or money advice, domestic violence support, and youth development activities.

We are running a consultation to understand what services local people would like to access at the North Area Housing Office and to gain an understanding of the service needs in the neighbourhood. The consultation closes on 9 August 2021.
