Plant Britain is a part of Our Planet Now

Back in November 2020, Countryfile launched Plant Britain and asked you to get planting to help combat climate change, to benefit wildlife, your own wellbeing, and to create something amazing for generations to come.

From planting trees to window boxes, creating community gardens to grow fruit, veg and flowers – together we’ve made Britain greener.

But now we’re looking to how we can all do our bit to help our blue spaces with Plant Britain by the Sea.

It’s all hands on deck, as we launch our Countryfile Coastal Clean-Up. We want you to get out there and help us reach our goal of 12,000 coastal clean-ups, 1,000 for every month of the year. This is your chance to help protect our precious coastlines and the all-important plant life that grows there and, of course, the precious marine life in our seas.

Please ensure you don’t trespass on private land and that you have permission from the land owner before you do a coastal clean-up.

Countryfile’s Plant Britain aims to galvanise the nation to get planting and now to clean-up our coastlines. We want to know what you’ve planted and where you’ve done a clean-up. Add it to our interactive map and you’ll be able to follow the nation’s planting and coastal clean-up progress!
