Palestinian protester kicked pensioner in the head who ‘happened to be Jewish’

A pro-Palestinian protestor who kicked a pensioner in the head has been given a suspended sentence after a judge ruled he did not attack the victim because he was Jewish. Jed Zia-Hughes, 19, leapt from a plinth into a small crowd of Jewish Israelis and knocked Jonathan Hoffman, 68, onto the ground.
