Staff will be aware that it is necessary to refresh their Minerva teaching areas before the start of the 2022/23 academic year as part of the move to Ultra Course View.

Ultra Course View modules are now available

Ultra Course View modules are now available for population, which means that most staff will now have around four months to build their areas prior to the start of teaching for the 2022/23 academic year.

What support will be available to help me make the move to Ultra Course View?

A series of online guides and resources are now available to assist staff with the transition to Ultra Course View, along with bookable complementary virtual training sessions.

Content Copying

Although automated content copy (sometimes referred to as module rollover) is no longer technically possible, intuitive copy tools exist in Ultra Course View, enabling staff to copy individual, or multiple, pieces of content from older modules. We do, however, strongly recommend that staff take time to explore the new institutional module template included in each module area and design their teaching areas following this suggested structure, rather than trying to recreate their previous Original modules.

We recommend that staff do not copy an entire module to Ultra Course View as not all content types will copy well.  Due to the new module design, any structure deeper than the two levels will not be copied across, resulting in more time being spent reviewing, moving, and removing content.  Staff should copy individual files, or other content, such as tests, over to Ultra Course View in small batches.

Where possible, staff should use the structure provided by the new institutional module template. This will not only assist you in organising your content, but will also provide a more consistent experience for students.

For more information, see our Copy Content in Ultra Course View guide.

Reading List system

Staff will also be able to update their reading lists using the new Leeds Reading Lists system, which will launch alongside Minerva Ultra Course View. Further information is available on the Library website, including details of online guidance and tutor support sessions.
