SPLASH - Survey
The project called SPLASH (Standardized methods across Permafrost Landscapes: from Arctic Soils to Hydrosystems) (http://www.splash.biogeochimie.fr) is a new Action Group supported by the International Permafrost Association (IPA):
https://ipa.arcticportal.org/activities/action-groups

The main objective of this Action Group is to provide to the permafrost community a suite of standardized field approaches for sampling soil, sediment, and water across different types of permafrost landscapes (e.g., palsa peatlands, shrub tundra, boreal forest), spanning disciplinary boundaries.

We need your help! We prepared this short survey, which is structured into 4 sections:
Section «WHAT?» contains questions related to what you sample, and how you preserve and store your samples.
Section «WHERE?» contains questions related to where you collect your samples (e.g., location, spatial resolution).
Section «WHEN?» contains questions related to when you collect your samples (e.g., seasonality, temporal resolution).
Section «ANYTHING ELSE?» contains general questions related to SPLASH objectives.

At the end of each section there is a comments field where you can expand on your replies to the questions in the section. Perhaps you don't always use the same methods in the field, which you can explain and expand on in the comment fields.

The survey takes only a few minutes to complete. Thank you very much in advance for your contribution!
