Wellbeing… it’s important. We all know that, right? So why is it so often overlooked, during those hectic exam seasons, during the stress of placement, during medical school?
MindHealth for Medical Students (Registered Charity: 1196846), the UK’s first well-being charity specifically for medical students, has produced well-being workshops, which we are hosting alongside Cardiff Medsoc and MyMedic. These Wellbeing Workshops will be one-hour small group sessions where we’ll explore common challenges which students experience and envision practical solutions to support and enhance participants' well-being.
There are a total of 9 topics we can cover throughout the session, including but not limited to Perfectionism; Imposter Syndrome; Procrastination; Sleep/ Insomnia; Anxiety and Depression. Although we’d like to explore as many topics as possible, due to time constraints the group will vote to determine which topics we explore.
We’re initially offering one sessions at 12:30pm on Wednesday 8th March at the Heath Park campus. All years are welcome, with a maximum of 20 students attending the session. Please register your interest by completing the form attached.
Also… I forgot to mention, they’ll be FREE PIZZA!
Best wishes/Cofion cynnes,
Oliver Silgram
Cardiff MindHealth Rep and Cardiff Medsoc Secretary
