The main purpose of Entain Foundation US is the coordination of Entain's global corporate social responsibility initiatives with a specific approach to American issues, as well as distribution of donations to non-profit organizations with comparable causes.

Division on Addiction, the Harvard Medical School Faculty

Investment in research is fundamental to supporting Entain's commitment to better understanding and reducing problematic gambling behavior. With this in mind, one of the group's biggest research projects to-date is based in the United States. Entain Foundation US is investing $5 million over the next five years in a partnership with the Harvard Medical School Faculty at the Division on Addiction. Entain will provide Harvard with access to anonymized player data across a range of its brands, including both sports betting and gaming products.

SETON HALL LAW

The first U.S. gaming, integrity and compliance educational program in collaboration with Seton Hall Law School. The first project of the collaboration was a three-day Bootcamp in March 2020 that seeks to promote compliance and integrity in the gaming industry through education and understanding of relevant laws, regulations and requirements for compliance. Speakers included leading gaming industry compliance officers and professionals, legal counsels, regulators, and academics.

NATIONAL COUNCIL
ON PROBLEM GAMBLING

Entain Foundation US also has established a partnership with the National Council on Problem Gambling, the world’s longest established NGO dedicated to addressing issues surrounding problem gambling. and will develop responsible gambling educational programs for active military service personnel and veterans. This program will start in 2020.

UNLV - International Gaming Institute

UNLV International Gaming Institute Publishes Report for Legislators and Regulators

The Entain Foundation US sponsored a report, developed by the UNLV International Gaming Institute, aimed at providing information to legislators and regulators about sports integrity, youth gambling impact, illegal marketplaces and American’s perception of gambling . The major questions set down in the report were co-developed by the IGI and Entain Foundation US. Entain did not see the report prior to publication, ensuring academic and research integrity.

UNLV Boyd School of Law to Launch Gaming and Regulatory Online Courses Funded by Entain Foundation US

The UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law will develop an online training program for operators, regulators, lawyers and others who work in and around the worldwide gaming industry. The mostly asynchronous classes, which will launch during the first and second quarters of 2021, will be created and taught by instructors with decades of professional gaming and teaching experience.

The online courses, funded by a gift from the Entain Foundation U.S., will ultimately consist of eight classes designed to prepare professionals to meet the sophisticated regulatory and operating challenges facing the gaming industry. Students are not required to hold a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or first degree of law required to practice law in international markets in order to enrol.

EPIC Risk Management US

Entain Foundation US has formed a partnership with EPIC Risk Management which aims to minimize gambling related harm.

EPIC Risk Management, the independent gambling harm minimization consultancy, and the Entain Foundation US have formed a partnership which aims to minimize gambling related harm throughout the US.

The educational sessions will be provided to up-and-coming and professional athletes and focus on lived experiences with problem gambling and the promotion of betting integrity. Entain Foundation US will provide $2.5m to finance the initiative over the course of two years. Programs will run in 14 locations across the US in 2020 and 2021, covering New York, New Jersey, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Tennessee, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, North Carolina, Colorado, DC, and the New England region.

Partnership with NFLPA

The NFLPA signed a two-year agreement with EPIC Risk Management and Entain Foundation US to create educational programs.

The NFLPA Professional Athletes Foundation, a provider of financial assistance and counselling for former NFL players, has signed a two-year agreement with EPIC Risk Management and Entain Foundation US to create, market, and launch live and virtual educational programs for NFLPA members.

With this new agreement in place, former NFL players will attend responsible gambling and sports integrity sessions presented by former athletes on an ongoing basis. EPIC Risk Management and Entain Foundation US will create the program content, which will be tailored to meet the mental health needs of former NFL players , while the NFLPA/PAF will advertise, market, and coordinate the delivery of the program to its members.

Kindbridge

Kindbridge is an independent virtual clinic that provides mental health services for people suffering difficulties related to gambling and gaming.

Entain Foundation US has partnered with Kindbridge to help train the clinical workforce of tomorrow. We are supporting Kindbridge to upskill a network of licensed therapists across the US in specialized therapeutic tools to more effectively support players at the intersections of gambling and online gaming.

Kindbridge is building the largest, centralized virtual treatment network across the US, with the goal to span across all 50 states and the District of Columbia by 2023. To that aim, Kindbridge seeks to lower the barriers to access for individuals in need of gambling and gaming related treatments by working with all major insurance providers in each state.

Entain Holdings has unveils collaboration with RG24seven to provide responsible gambling training for US staff.

This collaboration with RG24seven will enable Entain to provide the best in class RG training to their employees in the US.

RG24seven’s mission is to provide the most up-to-date, innovative responsible gaming training to the industry while diverting funds back into research and education, where it matters the most. In order to achieve this goal they have brought together professional from all parts of the industry to provide insight and intelligence on responsible gambling.

Furthermore, as part of its partnership with Entain, Martin Lycka, the group’s director of regulatory affairs, will also assume the position of chairman to the RG24seven advisory board.
