Intra-Professional Dental Education
We are starting a new Special Interest Group (SIG) at the Association for Dental Education in Europe (ADEE) focusing on Intra-Professional Education (IPE).  The SIG will run on Thursday 3rd June 2021 - 16:00 to 18:00 (Dublin/London UTC+1; e.g. for Paris add 1 Hour, for Athens 2 hours...etc.) and you are warmly invited to attend.

In addition to running dentistry programmes, dental schools in many countries are also running programmes of study for dental hygiene, with or without dental therapy.

The term “Intra-Professional Education” refers to occasions when dental/dental hygiene/dental therapy students learn together during all or part of their professional training. It is considered desirable to integrate the education of dental students and dental hygiene/dental therapy students, where both are taught in the same school, based on IPE and team training in a collaborative learning environment.

The aim of this questionnaire is to investigate to what extent there is collaborative teaching between dental students and dental hygiene/dental therapy students within your school, if at all. We would like to enquire whether these various students are taught within an integrated ‘dental team’ approach.

To allow us to gather meaningful information on the above, we would be very grateful if you could please complete the questionnaire below. It will help us gather current practice and perceptions, and allow us to inform and develop good practice.  This form will only take a few minutes to complete. All information obtained from this survey will be anonymous.

Thank you very much for your time.
