Tuesday 3rd September, University of Bristol
9.30am-5.00pm, 7 Priory Road, Room B3
Most of the day will be dedicated to a Writing Retreat. In these parts of the day, we will concentrate on writing within manageable chunks of time, with regular breaks. Please bring whatever piece of writing you'd like to work on, whether it's a chapter draft, conference paper, journal article or something else.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided - please let us know about any dietary requirements when you register.
After lunch, we will be holding an hour-long reading group. The text under discussion, chosen by cluster member Ewan Short, will be Leonora Neville's Anna Komnene: The Life and Work of a Medieval Historian (2016). We'll be focussing on a handful of (short) chapters from this book, which we will be making available to attendees via email. You don't need to be a history student to take part, as we want to make the discussion as interdisciplinary as possible!
