Use of intraoral flap retractors during lower third molar surgery - National Survey
Retraction of intraoral mucoperiosteal flaps during lower third molar surgery is essential, primarily to protect the flap and adjacent soft tissues from iatrogenic injury, and improve visibility and access of the surgical field. Several different instruments for intraoral flap retraction/protection are available on the market, each with their own benefits and drawbacks. The aim of this project is to determine current national practice for use of intraoral flap retractors during lower third molar surgery and identify any potential drawbacks of the widely used retractors.

We would be grateful if you could spare a few minutes to complete this survey. Please note your agreement to complete this survey will be regarded as consent for use of the data for research and publication purposes. All responses will be kept anonymous.
