Call for Applications for Training in Museum Management
The Youth Empowerment Project (YEP) in partnership with the Austrian Embassy in Dakar and the Heritage Management Organization  through the National Centre for Arts and Culture (NCAC) and the Institute for Travel and Tourism of the Gambia invites suitably qualify Gambians to apply for the Museum management training program.
The training which targets museum managers, conservators, museum tour guides, collectors, archives and other museum staff aims to build the capacity of Gambian museums in order to improve the productive capacities of managers, and staff, enhance operational performance, and supports sustainability.
Some of the expected program outcomes includes increase visitor numbers to museums, support formal and informal public education on the values of natural, cultural, and historical heritage to support economic development, employment creation, reinforce linkages with tourism, strengthens sustainability while safeguarding the national history and heritage.
The training is scheduled from 30th of September to October 4th 2021. At the end of the training, participants will organize and deliver a full exhibition. Interested candidates are required to fill the form below on or before 19th of September 2021.

Selection Criteria
1. Candidates must have at least Grade 12 or its equivalent qualification
2. Candidates should be staff of any of the museums in the country
3. Candidates who live and work in rural Gambia are encourage to apply
4. Female candidates are encourage to apply
5. Candidates must be ready to do the course on full time basis from 9 am to 5 pm daily for the duration
