The NIHR SPHR Public Partners Network (PAN) provides an opportunity for people involved in SPHR research to come together. The Network will provide development opportunities, be a place to link public partners with SPHR researchers, a place to reflect on the impact of public involvement in SPHR and to connect public partners across SPHR.

Data Protection Statement

The NIHR SPHR are inviting members of the public involved in SPHR research to join an email list for public partners across SPHR. By giving us your contact details (either email, telephone or postal address) you are giving your permission for us to hold your details in an email list and Excel spreadsheet. The email list and Excel spreadsheet are created for the purpose of: • Providing you with information and news about public involvement and public engagement in NIHR SPHR and about NIHR SPHR more widely • Advising you about public involvement, public engagement or development opportunities you might be interested in • Requesting information from you for example, for equal opportunities monitoring purposes or feedback about your experiences of being involved in SPHR research The information we ask for and that will be contained on the Excel spreadsheet is: • Name • Preferred method of contact (e.g. email, postal address or telephone), • The name of SPHR project or activity you are or have been involved in • Whether you would prefer your email address to be visible to other public partners or whether you would prefer it to remain non-visible We will treat your information with respect. We will not pass your details on to anyone outside of SPHR without your permission. The email list and Excel spreadsheet will be stored securely on university servers and accessed on password-protected machines. In addition, the Excel spreadsheet will be password protected. Access to the information will be limited to members of SPHR and the SPHR Public Partners Network. We intend to keep the information in the email list and Excel spreadsheet up-to-date. In order to do this, please email sphr@ncl.ac.uk if: • You would like your contact details removing from the email list and Excel spreadsheet • If your contact details change – in which case the information we hold needs to be updated – we can only do this if you tell us Your contact information will be held for the duration of the 3rd phase of SPHR, up until the end of March 2027. It is expected that we will contact you prior to this to see if you wish to be contacted for a new phase of SPHR activity.
