GI Scheme Consultation - 2021

Stilton Image

Over Spring 2021, the APPG on Geographically Protected Foods will be undertaking a survey on the UK's new GI Scheme, which replaced the EU scheme on January 1 2021. The survey has been extended to the end of July.

There are three surveys to complete - one for consumers, one for producers of GI and non-GI products. and one for government bodies and retailers.

Every comment and answer we receive will help us advocate for GIs and suggest improvements to the Government. This will help the UK Government better promote GIs, better support producers of GIs, and ensure more important British foods are added to the GI list.
