We're working with the PR company Muckle Media on the upcoming Parks4Life campaign. The Park Portraits campaign will bring awareness to Parks4Life and raise crucial funding for Scotland’s beloved parks. We’re asking for your help in bringing this campaign to life.

Scotland has hundreds of beautiful parks, rich with history and culture and filled with memories. They are places where people come together, and those special moments deserve to be celebrated. We want to shine the light on the untold stories of our parks and highlight the impact they have on individuals and local communities.

We would appreciate if you could share this call for stories to your networks, colleagues and friends to support Parks4Life and greenspace scotland!

Do you have an interesting story that revolves around a local park? Maybe you met the love of your life in a park, and now you visit it frequently together. Perhaps you grew up playing in a local park, and now your child plays in it too. Possibly you took a leap of faith and began a new hobby at a park, which has now become a major part of your life. Or maybe this sounds like someone you know.

Whatever your park story is, we want to hear it! We’re looking for people to get involved in the Park Portraits campaign and share their park stories with us. 12 stories will be carefully selected, photographed, and will feature in the final exhibition.

If you have a park story you would like to share, please submit using this form, or get in touch at [email protected].

If you know someone else who has an interesting story about parks, please forward this email to them and we would really appreciate you sharing the call more widely through your networks, ebulletins and with community groups, colleagues and friends. Thank you!

About Parks4Life

Scotland’s parks are well-used and much loved. Each year Scots make over 162 million visits to parks and greenspaces. Greenspaces are our natural health service, our children’s outdoor classrooms and our towns’ and cities’ green lungs. They bring benefits for our families, our communities, our health and wellbeing, and the environment. But not everyone enjoys easy access to quality greenspace, and across Scotland parks are feeling the pinch. Parks need your help to care for them.

Parks4Life is Scotland’s first ever fund for parks and greenspaces. It provides an easy way for all of us to show how much we love our parks. Managed by greenspace scotland, it aims to raise £1million this year to help support Scotland’s parks with a sustainable fund for the future.

We want to ensure our precious parks continue to be cherished and nurtured so that we hand them on in good heart for our children and grandchildren to enjoy. With your support, we can help our communities bring their parks to life and make the best of our parks for everyone to enjoy now and in the future.

Want to show parks some love? You can make an online donation to Parks4Life , find out how to fundraise or text PARK to 70450 to make a one- off donation of £5.
