Former clerk denies corruption charges

A former finance clerk with iTaukei Land Trust Board pleaded not guilty to corruption-related charges.

She appeared in the Nausori Magistrates Court last Friday.

The Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) had charged Adi Filomena Serau in July with a count of Obtaining a Financial Advantage.

Serau denied receiving cash payments amounting to $12,174.90 made by clients between June to December 2017.

The matter was adjourned to 13 November 2019.
