Building a stronger business future together

The Peer Networks programme is for SME leaders that want to stabilise, grow and develop their organisation with the support of like-minded entrepreneurs from across Liverpool City Region’s business community.

Our delivery partners will lead cohorts to work through common business issues enabling you to discuss your own challenges, gain and reflect on valuable feedback and implement practical solutions to overcome them.

It provides a community for business leaders to get together to discuss their collective business challenges; think-up solutions to them; and plan long term recovery and growth.

Peer Networks is a peer-to-peer support programme designed for Liverpool City Region-based SMEs. The programme includes 12 hours of interactive groups sessions which will be delivered by action learning techniques.

Each member will have the opportunity to present an opportunity, challenge, or problem to their group, and engage in collaborative discussion with other members to find practical solutions via the action learning methodology that the programme encourages.

Topics businesses have previously brought to the table include:

  • Finance
  • HR
  • Sales and marketing
  • Adjusting to social distancing
  • Business model innovation
  • Change management
  • Embedding formal management processes and systems
  • Digital (including adoption and implementation of technology, cyber security)
  • Use of data to drive value in the business
  • EU transition
  • Net zero
  • And more…

Peer Networks is designed for business leaders who want to grow and develop their organisation for future success. The programme is available to any SME business that has:

  • 20% growth per year for 3 years
  • The potential to scale up by at least 20% year in year for the next 3 years
  • An aspiration to improve

We feel that businesses who have operated for over a year & have a turnover of at least £100,000 with around 5 members of staff will gain the most benefit from the programme.

We understand that each business’s needs vary, which is why we have expert facilitators specialising in varying topics, to give you the flexibility to create a trusted support network that works for you, helping you to build and strengthen your business and improve its overall performance. You can see the list of our delivery partners below.

Businesses that seek external advice or undertake formal training are more likely to improve their overall performance, but many prefer to take advice from trusted sources, such as their peers, when presented with external challenges and opportunities. Peer Networks enables you to make connections that go far beyond networking.

By completing Peer Networks, you will:

  • Overcome business challenges and recognise and act on new opportunities
  • Build a trusted network of connections to support you now and in the future
  • Improve your long-term personal and business performance
