The Agritech world will come together for a virtual event Thursday, July 8th, the SAT [SEED] Summit will focus on AgriTech business and Irish leaders in the sector in attendance.

AgriTech Summit’s Events and Speakers

This sector has seen dramatic growth recently with companies like MagGrow and Micron AgriTech getting rounds of funding and international awards. The event will be populated with speakers from Ireland, USA, New Zealand, UK,  Israel, and others and will cover a range of topics like funding, research and acquisitions live on the day.

The event being interactive means attendees can ask questions to these global experts as well as network with these sector leaders and can better connect with the events. One event highlighted will be the Global Industry Leaders’ Forum which kicks off the summit shortly after the start of 10.50 am.

The Irish highlights of the events will be speakers like Dr. Edmond Harty, Former Entrepreneur of the Year, and Adjunct Full Professor at UCD, Cathal Fitzgerald, Senior Investment Director in Foot and Agriculture, Ireland Strategic Investment Fund. There will also be Nicky Deasy, Managing partner of Yield Lab Europe, Danny O’Brien, Managing Director EMEA, SVG Ventures, THRIVE.

Finally, there will be Donal Ryan, Managing Partner of Finistere Ventures, James Maloney of Enterprise Ireland, and Ger Heffernan, Principal of the Heffernan Financial Advisory.

It will feature Theo Kanellos, Director of Business Development and Alliances at Zoetis International, Hadar Sutovsky, Vice President of External Innovation, ICL Group of Israel, and lastly, Peter Wren-Hilton, Managing Director of Wharf 42, New Zealand. They will discuss the different developments seen in agritech and the future business formation of the sector.

Another highlighted part of the agenda will be Kristin Miller, CEO of GEO Farm Technologies, North America, New Zealand, and Australia. Miller will bring a unique view to adapting technology and data to established businesses and building big data collection points across a product range for improving decision support and a look at the future of corporate R&D.
