Fellowships - 4 years full-time fixed term contract
Following a recent major award, our Diabetes Centre of Excellence is thus expanding substantially so we are looking to appoint ambitious academic staff, at varying grades, who are excited by the opportunity to apply their discipline expertise in novel approaches to investigate diabetes.
We have a number of full-time fellowships available from 1 August 2019 on a four year fixed term basis. We have started the initial phase of our recruitment, and the panel are currently reviewing the applications, however we are still welcoming applications across all areas.
If you are interested in these positions we recommend that you apply as soon as possible. This currently is a rolling-recruitment campaign and applications will be assessed and interviews will be held throughout the recruitment period.
Summary of the role
As an Independent Research Fellow, you will bring your own innovative research ideas and will implement and lead this research, and contribute to the growth and development of the world-class Diabetes Research Centre of Excellence. You will receive academic support and mentorship from established leading diabetes researchers to help you achieve this.
With a diabetes theme, your own research idea will align with one of the following areas: Bayesian Statistics, Artificial Intelligence, Immunology or Cell Biology.
Reimbursement of travel expenses from within the UK will be made to qualifying individuals (see our Expenses guidance here). As we are unable to offer reimbursement for travel from outside of the UK, the facility to Skype in to the Fellowship Day will be available for any non-UK based applicants unable to attend in person.
