Logo & Website

You may have noticed above that we have a shiny new programme logo.

We have more programme and promotional materials on the way:

• Our new flyer is almost finished and will be sent out with next month’s newsletter - please let us know if you’d like a copy sooner to show to service users.

Our website is under development so watch this space. The site will feature a straightforward referral tool making it easier for you to refer people onto the programme - in the meantime please email us at weworkforeveryone@bristol.gov.uk with anybody who might be eligible and interested in our support.

New Faces

Project Manager

This week, we’re pleased to welcome David Price to the programme as the new project manager. David is moving to WE WORK for Everyone from his role on the Safer Streets programme at Bristol City Council, and brings with him a wealth of experience in employment support, youth services and disability services.

The Navigator Team

We’ve welcomed five new Navigators to the Bristol team in the last 6 weeks, with Abi, Matt, Dan B, Jolene, and Dan W all getting started on referrals, enrolling programme participants, and undertaking initial meetings. In South Glocs, we have welcomed Michelle to the Navigator team, and offered the position to one further new team member. In Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset, recruitment is well underway. With the Navigator team almost up to full strength, we’re in a great position to start supporting people into work.

What is the role of a Navigator?

Navigators work with the individual to develop a pathway into paid employment that is right for them.

They can help to:

  • find the right career

  • access training, qualifications and work placements

  • access supported internships (ages 18 to 25)

  • create a CV and improve interview skills

  • access computer equipment and IT support

News and events

Voluntary & Community Sector Organisations Partnership Event
Thurs 22nd April 2021

We are keen to engage with as many VCS organisations as possible through the programme. This is not only to cross refer between services but also to have them join the programme’s supply chain, delivering services paid through the WE WORK for Everyone programme. We will shortly be mailing out details of an Eventbrite page for VCS organisations to come and find out more on Thursday 22nd April.

Autism Awareness Week
29 March – 4 April

In the UK, around one in 100 people is on the autism spectrum. Every person with autism has their own individual strengths and interests, but without the right support and understanding, places like school and the workplace can represent huge challenges. With only 1 in 6 adults with autism in the UK having a full-time job, the barriers that people with autism can face in the jobs market, are clear to see.

WE WORK for Everyone can help support people with autism, as well as those with other barriers to employment such as learning difficulties and learning disabilities, to find the best route, into the right role.

One of our dedicated 1:1 Employment Navigators will work with the person, and those close to them, to identify their strengths and skills, and to find the right opportunities for them.

Find out more about World Autism Awareness Week from
The National Autistic Society.
