Advocating for appropriate support services
for women with disabilities


Meet Mariana Reuter, a member of the Spotlight Initiative’s civil society reference group in Argentina. She coordinates ‘Sordas Sin Violencia,’ a UN-supported programme that provides services to deaf women who experience intimate partner violence in Buenos Aires. Deaf herself, Mariana understands the obstacles hearing-impaired women face when they seek help. Read more  
Zimbabwe launches Spotlight Initiative
 
The Government of Zimbabwe, the European Union and the United Nations launched the multi-year Spotlight Initiative to assist women and girls realize their full potential in a violence-free, gender-responsive and inclusive Zimbabwe.
